"RUSH: As for Trump, I have to... I was surprised. I was just a little stunned when Trump starts speaking positively... He didn't come out for single-payer health care, but he made it clear that when it comes to health care, he's closer to the Obama approach than to the traditional Republican. I was stunned. I was stunned when I saw what Trump had said on TV, literally taken aback by it. Anyway, we'll get into all this in detail as the program unfolds today. And, again, your host -- your beloved host -- is in a lion's share of the audio sound bites today. These are somewhat interesting, actually, somewhat relevant. So I'm gonna lead off with them rather than relegate them to the third hour as I've been doing in recent days. SNIP

BS! He does say he wants everyone covered but he’s talking minimum coverage. His main focus is private plans. Only Trump can fix the screwed up ER care/Mediaid that is supposedly taking care of those people now.
Let’s quote Trump (edited from linked article to omit questions):
“I am going to take care of everybody. I donât care if it costs me votes or not. Everybodyâs going to be taken care of much better than theyâre taken care of now. . . . the governmentâs gonna pay for it. “

Wait....so it’s “GOP-E” to come out against big gov programs?
Trump hasn’t the faintest flipping idea of what kind of healthcare replacement he would propose. All he knows is that he wants to run against Obamacare and that he thinks he needs a replacement. He is totally winging the rest.
P. 72 - I don't hink a single-payer system makes sense anymore. If I did I would say it; I would't need anyone else to say it for me. Maybe a single-payer system works in other countries.
P. 75 As I've said, I'd like to see a private insurance system without artificial lines drawn between states. We need to get rid of those lines and let people and companies cross state lines to purchase the best plan for them. The government should get out of the way and let insurance companies compete for your business.
p. 75 - The government doesn't belong in health care except as the very last resort.
