The problem for Cruz is that he didn't just say "the buck stops here." He said he didn't see anything wrong with it and wasn't going to apologize. You can "stop the buck" and take responsibility for a mistake while still admitting it was a mistake.

I like Cruz a lot more than the Donald, but this is concerning both in terms of the substance and his response. Being unable or unwilling to admit even the smallest error isn't a good thing. Something like this should have been laughed off as something dumb done in the heat of a campaign. The disabled old lady who complained about it could have been treated to a personal visit by Ted with a basket of cookies for an apology, and he could have made it something nice.

Cruz should stay in the US Senate!

I was wondering if his dismal run for president has soured his senate standing and he may lose even that in an attempt to grasp the illusive gold ring.

If Cruz spends all of today attacking Rubio, he knows he is in a battle for second place.

"The next 12 hours can't pass soon enough. "

IIRC, the caucii open at 1900 and close at 2100 CST? Is that correct?

"I was wondering if his dismal run for president has soured his senate standing and he may lose even that in an attempt to grasp the illusive gold ring. "

When Cruz runs for reelection to the Senate, SOMEBODY is going to run an ad saying he defrauded the electorate last time by not disclosing he was still a Canadian Citizen. While it was well known he was born in Canada, NOBODY knew he was still a Canadian citizen.

Then Ted can spend the election cycle explaining how he, himself, did not know at the time.

That costs Cruz 5-10 points in both the primary and the general.

I believe so. By 10PM ET, we should have some hard results.

But we'll get a good indication a few hours earlier. If we hear "record crowds" and "long lines" it will likely be a Trump night. If just your average turnout, then not so good for Trump. I don't think Trump's support will come from the regulars.

Did you notice that none of the other candidates are making an issue about it? It’s almost as if they decided to let Cruz self-destruct.
_______________
The breaking of the story through Independent Journal, has Rick Wilson’s fingerprints all over it. He is on the Super Pac dime for Marco.

More to come from Tampa.

Rubio rising is a bad thing for Cruz I hope. Trump’s gotta win IA and get this thing put away.

Kill Cruz, then Trump. That’s the plan.

The breaking news is that it has Rick Wilson's fingerprints all over it. He is on the Super Pac dime for Marco.

Only problem with that hypothesis is that Cruz's campaign and Cruz himself took "credit" for it and even doubled down.

They did, but they were outed by Rick Wilson. Nothing they could do at that point. The article was “placed” by Wilson through Sarah Rumph, who was Rick’s associate in Tampa Florida. He is interviewed in the article.

O’Keefe needs to set up cameras outside of black precincts to make sure the number of votes counted has something to do with the number of people who went in to vote.

Black precincts? lol. Is there such a thing in Iowa? I am sure that white’s can cheat just as much as black voters can.

Actually I thought more about it. I think most black precincts if there are any in Iowa would be fighting between Bernie and Hillary......I doubt many would be for GOP.

It decided to snow in Colorado instead.
