Do you disagree with Liberty University's president's decision to endorse Donald Trump for president? You could get blocked on Twitter if you tweet your dissatisfaction with the endorsement.
Tyler McNally, a Liberty University student (and someone I've followed for a few years), tweeted a screenshot Friday afternoon showing Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. blocking him on his Twitter account.

"My school president blocked me. AMA" McNally wrote. ("AMA" is an acronym for "Ask Me Anything," a joke referencing a section of Reddit where users ask questions to celebrities or those with interesting stories.)
McNally then tweeted a screenshot of others claiming to have been blocked by Falwell.
Melody Young, who identified herself as an online student, told Falwell that "If you block those who disagree with you they don't experience love nor acceptance."
Falwell responded back to Young, saying he wasn't blocking those who disagreed, "only those who badger, have made up their minds and refuse to be confused with facts."
Some of McNally's earlier tweets were critical of Falwell's decision to endorse Trump, asking the president how he could endorse Trump based on the New York business mogul's support for eminent domain and calling the president "a traitor to conservatism."
McNally sent Falwell at least seven tweets about his endorsement of Trump over 10 days.
Apparently one of these tweets is block-worthy. pic.twitter.com/mjlkZeHBgN- Tyler McNally (@Tyler_McNally) January 29, 2016
"President Falwell is allowed to use his social media accounts however he pleases. However, this frivolous blocking of anyone who is critical of his decision to endorse Donald Trump, including current students and alumni, is beneath his position as president of Liberty University," McNally told the Washington Examiner. "He has claimed that he respects the opinions of his students, and while that may in fact be true, the act of blocking someone shows the opposite."
He added: "President Falwell knew the endorsement would be controversial, and up until this moment in time, he has yet to answer his critics, both evangelicals and those outside his circle."
McNally also said he doesn't believe he will face any campus backlash as a result of his criticism.
A false conservative follows “liberal” rules...
My impression is that Liberty U is a unique place run with a heavy hand by the founding family. The students get an excellent education in an environment that promotes values, is safe, and has a wonderful college life.
I'd equate that with a student who chooses a military academy. It's a great education, but when they sign up for it they know how it works.
Seriously? A university president wrote that?
Blocking people who disagree with you is truly pathetic. I can see blocking people who are profane or insulting, but this sounds like more than that.
Tammy Bruce has me blocked on Twitter and I don’t know why. I barely ever tweeted anything to her and I don’t even remember ever disagreeing with her. I love listening to her. Weirdness.
No Cruz endorsers need to block anything because no one knows who they are.
Actually, Cincinatus’ Wife is doing important work — vetting Trump.
I too support Turmp more than I ever supported McStain or McRomney — more than GW Bush actually.
But Cincinatus’ Wife brought up points in other threads I was not aware of.
As for this twitter zinger, seems weak to me too.
I bet most high traffic twitter people use backdoor methods to communicate. Might hire someone to auto-respond. Might be a good idea for Falwell Jr too. Life is short. Hurts student access, but only takes a few to ruin the flow of communication.
‘Tammy Bruce has me blocked on Twitter and I don’t know why.’
Some people hate flattery. Some hate too many chirps. [Or tweets.] Humor varies. Sometimes your name might be similar to a creepy stalker’s.
Sometimes you might be too much like me. I got my email blocked once even though it was a bran new book agent email system, so new that there were no written rules. Still blocked, several years later. The way life is.
I got banned by another book editor — I clearly broke the rules that time.
A Sports writer blasted BYU ( even though the player said he deserve it.) But at the end of the piece the writer said I found the School for my Daughter.
Trump supporters like you are the most vitriolic I’ve ever seen during my years on FR. Just like your messiah.
“A lot of people think those who support Trump have jumped the shark.”
Now that’s funny coming from you. Talk about living in an alternate universe.
My guess like most of Cruz supporters and the lwft the replies are very nasty.
