Unbelievable – Ted Cruz Campaign Sends Out Personal “Shaming Letters” To Iowa Voters…
conservativetreehouse ^ | 1/30/2016 | sundance

Posted on 01/29/2016 10:28:45 PM PST by 20yearsofinternet

The personalized letters target individual Iowa voters and identifies them as having failed to vote in prior elections. They are admonished and then encouraged to vote this year. In addition the letters identify the neighbors of the voter, and provides their voting history.

The text reads:

"You are receiving this election notice because of low expected voter turnout in your area. Your individual voting history as well as your neighbors' are public record. Their scores are published below, and many of them will see your score as well. CAUCUS ON MONDAY TO IMPROVE YOUR SCORE and please encourage your neighbors to caucus as well. A follow-up notice may be issued following Monday's caucuses".

In an effort to shame the recipient, the notice also informs the targeted voter their neighbors have also been notified of the recipients poor voting record.

Justify anything, eh? The ends justifies the means? So, if Cruz’ cabal of thugs next decides to tap their phones, go through their trash, or perhaps even threaten them with a visit from one of his commie Cuban operatives to show some “tough love” - that would be OK with you. Now I understand why I am coming to despise Cruz and his supporters.

Enclosed is my 2016 Form 1040, together with payment. Please take note of the attached newspaper article. In the article, you will note that the Pentagon paid $171.50 each for hammers and NASA paid $600.00 each for toilet seats.

Please find enclosed in this package four toilet seats (value $2,400.00) and six hammers (value $1,029.00). This is in payment for my total tax due of $3,429.00.

Out of a sense of patriotic duty, and to assist in the political purification of our government, I am also enclosing a 1.5 inch Phillips head screw, for which HUD duly recorded and approved a purchase value of $22.00, as my contribution to fulfill the Presidential Election Fund option on Form 1040.

It has been a pleasure to pay my taxes this year, and I look forward to paying them again next year in accordance with officially established government values.

Sincerely,
Another satisfied taxpayer

Only NASA would spend $1-billion dollars to send a penny to Mars. ;-)

I am beginning to think we should be looking at the potential of money laundering. Not kidding.

Just showing the level of intellect we are dealing with here...

You are the one leveling the accusation. Provide PROOF Cruz was naturalized... Until then, take your garbage nonsense of an argument and put it where it belongs.

Well, prior to this I already was going to vote trump in the primary. I prefer trump to Cruz, but Cruz was my second.

This thing about the Voter Violations is mind blowing to me.

He is sending that kind of garbage to little old ladies in Iowa telling them he’s going to tell their neighbors on them?

I mean seriously, if that dude sent something like that to my mom, I would be boiling mad.

I call BS. This out of the page book of Chris Lerner, a guy on his staff. Who put them out then?

Here's the thing. Cruz put them out, but doesn't have the guts to throw his guy under the bus, so he deny’s it.

No, those things you say would not be okay because they would violate the law. These mailers are standard things sent out by many campaigns in the past.

You make it clear what the real reason many people oppose Ted Cruz is, bigotry against his Cuban heritage. There is absolutely no reason to say Cruz has “Cuban operatives” unless you’re judging him based on his ethnic ancestry. I’m not saying all Trump supporters are bigots, but 100% of bigots voting in this primary are Trump supporters.

To say Cruz is a “commie” when he’s one of the most capitalist, conservative guys out there is a ludicrous insult. You’re helping turn this forum into a Democrat Underground outpost. Voting for anyone but Cruz in this election is helping march America down the socialist, progressive lane instead of stopping it in its tracks like Cruz has been trying to.

“This is what you may expect from this fundamentalist twit, if he were to ever gain admittance to the White House ... “Mr. Constitution” who has no problem revealing the voting habits of others - and I don’t care if the records are “public” ... How many here on FR would go around snooping on another citizens voting habits?”

This is why I say this behavior is stalker like.

There are plenty of public records and data that a stalker could use to stalk their prey.

Basically it boils down to just because you can do something does not mean you should do something.

You have to ask yourself is what I am doing here right and good? Cruz says trump disrespected Iowa voters by not showing up to the debate, but is this how Ted Cruz respects Iowa voters? By stalking them and threatening them? I mean what the Hell!?

Stalkers lack the ability to govern their behavior versus doing whatever it takes to achieve their goal.

Anything is okay to get near a person who doesn’t want to be near them.

That is what makes this creepy, and people who do creepy things are, in fact, creeps.

Thus, Mr. Ted Cruz, you are a creep.

Really think these Super Pacs could be used as money laundering operations.

Expenditures for Mercer’s Keep the Promise PAC recent efforts in Iowa.

Looks like he funnels money into the Super Pac, then he pays his own firm, Cambridge Analytica

Mercer’s Super Pac is paying companies large sums of money, $1,095,000 Rigel Strategies LLC for instance that has an office mailing address going to UPS stores, registered by 3rd party registrars making the LLC entity pretty much untraceable

I’m in the real estate business and the title companies are required by the govt. to collect tax id verifications from purchasers and sellers to avoid money laundering.

You know in your heart Cruz IS boiling mad and would not approve this. But the details and backstory won’t be available until Tuesday.

No, I don’t.

I wish I did, but he hasn’t said anything about it or fired anyone that I know of.

What I know in my heart is that I am boiling mad about this.

If you read the entire article, Steve Deace, originally denied they belonged to the campaign, and then came back and admitted it was true, according to BuzzFeed.

I have no information whether or not Ted Cruz knew.

The people on the ground never knew what the people higher up were doing, this happened to me during the Romney campaign. Of Course, none of our stuff worked on election day either. wish I could have that 5 months back :(
