The personalized letters target individual Iowa voters and identifies them as having failed to vote in prior elections. They are admonished and then encouraged to vote this year. In addition the letters identify the neighbors of the voter, and provides their voting history.
The text reads:
"You are receiving this election notice because of low expected voter turnout in your area. Your individual voting history as well as your neighbors' are public record. Their scores are published below, and many of them will see your score as well. CAUCUS ON MONDAY TO IMPROVE YOUR SCORE and please encourage your neighbors to caucus as well. A follow-up notice may be issued following Monday's caucuses".
In an effort to shame the recipient, the notice also informs the targeted voter their neighbors have also been notified of the recipients poor voting record.

Other than the faux birther issue, what exactly are the similarities, between Obama and Cruz? That’s laughable. Cruz is 180° opposite of what Obama is, from his birth to now.

LOL, is that why I'm disagreeing with the majority on this thread? Trust me, the last thing I look for is the approval of the group. If I did, I wouldn't be a Republican in a Democrat family, a Democrat state, a Democrat county, etc. Different voters need different tactics. This mailer wouldn't work on me, I'd laugh at it and throw it out. But I'll leave it to the marketing experts to figure out who it would work on.

What makes any of you believe that he would not use the NSA or CIA, or whatever alphabet agency of government, to do the exact same thing King Obama does? Is this not the pot calling the kettle black?
Apparently, Ted Cruz - the “anointed King” - believes himself morally superior over all others. He claims not to be part of the establishment - but his snobbish elitism makes him an establishment all his own. No wonder he has no friends - who the heck could stand him for more than 5 minutes?

I completely agree with you. Totally sleazy and I very much understand your posts. I was just kind of adding to the conversation. But it is really shallow to base your support for a candidate one way or another on something like this. That is a bit over the top reaction wise.
Cruz does not have a single senator supporting him. Speaks volumes.

We obviously do not share the same values. Truth and common decency matter greatly to me. I don’t tolerate braggarts or bullies.
Calling me or knocking at my door would be a request to which I could decline to answer, refuse to open - or, in the alternative, not give my support. This, OTOH, may be considered a veiled threat, and a direct invasion of privacy - it is harassment.
