The personalized letters target individual Iowa voters and identifies them as having failed to vote in prior elections. They are admonished and then encouraged to vote this year. In addition the letters identify the neighbors of the voter, and provides their voting history.
The text reads:
"You are receiving this election notice because of low expected voter turnout in your area. Your individual voting history as well as your neighbors' are public record. Their scores are published below, and many of them will see your score as well. CAUCUS ON MONDAY TO IMPROVE YOUR SCORE and please encourage your neighbors to caucus as well. A follow-up notice may be issued following Monday's caucuses".
In an effort to shame the recipient, the notice also informs the targeted voter their neighbors have also been notified of the recipients poor voting record.

At this rate, I wouldnââ¬â¢t be surprised if the next notice Cruz sends out says, If you donââ¬â¢t vote, youââ¬â¢re going to hell.â
Thatâs been strongly implied hasnât it? Not only if you donât vote but if you donât vote for Cruz, youâre just not a Christian Conservative.

Yes and warning bells of who Cruz really is sounded when I got the implication. We hear it from some of his supporters too. It makes me wonder if this is a last days cult thing.
Creepy Cruz will be lucky to come in fourth.
I won’t believe it until I hear the Cruz campaign publicly admit to it. Moreover, campaigns on both sides of the political aisle have been sending put those mailers for years, so they are not unique to whoever sent them out this time around. And while I don’t agree with the tactic, whoever sent out that mailer should apologize and move on. Unless it was Trump, he never apologizes for anything...not even to God.
Haha there are many parallels between Obama and Cruz. That is probably why Ted has voted for the Obama agenda when he should not have, if he were truly conservative that is.
Speaking of doing and being....while Trump is out there BEING his egomaniacal self, telling everyone what they want to hear, getting the crowd riled up for things he only claims he’ll do....Ted Cruz has aldready been DOING things that show what a Conservative is.
And for those who don’t understand what a conservative is, let me spell it out for you:
Small Limited Government
Upholding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights
Upholding the Rule of Law
Getting governoment out of the way, so people can live and be free to pursue their own happiness (i.e. regulations, taxes, restrictions, beaurocracy),
Godly principles and values
Pro-Family
Pro-Choice
Pro-2nd Amendment
Securing our borders and fully enforcing our immigration laws
Defeating ISIS - blowing them off the map
Standing with Israel
Just to name a few.
Yes, it’s very effective. Cruz needs to follow through with this, and not apologize. Make it seems like it’s a crucial thing to vote this time. He can say, I’m saying to vote for me, I’m saying vote...
I think, personally, it’s going to work.
Most analysts say the higher the turnout, the more likely Trump wins in Iowa.
“This flyer strikes me as one of those Publishing House things.”
Except this one says in great big red letters: “VOTING VIOLATION” like someone is going to come to your door and bust it down and arrest you for voter fraud.
And what’s the point of “A follow-up notice may be issued FOLLOWING Monday’s caucuses” other that some kind of out-an-out threat or intimidation?
Not even close to “you may have won a million dollars”
One thing is certain, though. Even if Cruz, my favored candidate, is damaged and becomes a non-factor by the time of the Missouri primary on March 15, there is one candidate I definitely will not be voting for, and that is Donald Trump. Trump is a total embarrassment. I would vote for one of the other guys--i.e., the next-best overall social and constitutional conservative--before I would ever vote for Trump.
When he included others in the letter, that is what crossed the line. If this was in a private letter to a voter only showing his name? Maybe. Including other names is an invasion of the other peoples privacy.
Just the kind of tactic that wold convince me to purchase a $5 M th ave condominium. Pure class. Buy now or the rats will be on the 30th floor!
How else does an attention seeker get attention? lol
Scrolling by is a kiss of death to them. ^5
If you bother to read the various articles, the Cruz campaign does admit sending out the mailers. Do they need to personally send you a message?
Purge baby purge!
“Itâs just impolitic, nanny-ish, stupid ... just retarded.”
its actually worse than that since it appears seriously threatening, with big red letters that say âVOTING VIOLATIONâ like someone is going to come to your door and bust it down and arrest you for voter fraud.
And whatâs the point of âA follow-up notice may be issued FOLLOWING Mondayâs caucusesâ other that some kind of out-an-out threat or intimidation?
203 K hits now. LOL I like female humans. SO I am a throwback
