EXCLUSIVE: The intelligence community has now deemed some of Hillary Clintonâs emails âtoo damaging" to national security to release under any circumstances, according to a U.S. government official close to the ongoing review. A second source, who was not authorized to speak on the record, backed up the finding.
The decision to withhold the documents in full, and not provide even a partial release with redactions, further undercuts claims by the State Department and the Clinton campaign that none of the intelligence in the emails was classified when it hit Clinton's personal server.
Fox News is told the emails include intelligence from "special access programs," or SAP, which is considered beyond âTop Secret.â A Jan. 14 letter, first reported by Fox News, from intelligence community Inspector General Charles McCullough III notified senior intelligence and foreign relations committee leaders that "several dozen emails containing classified informationâ were determined to be âat the CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET, AND TOP SECRET/SAP levels."
The State Department is trying to finish its review and public release of thousands of Clinton emails, as the Democratic presidential primary contests get underway in early February.
Under the Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, there is an exemption that allows for highly sensitive, and in this case classified, material to be withheld in full -- which means nothing would be released in these cases, not even heavily redacted versions, which has been standard practice with the 1,340 such emails made public so far by the State Department.

If that’s the case, why isn’t she in jail now?
Clinton emails ‘too damaging’ to be released to anyone except the enemy.
No Problem. We can always request them from the Russians and Chinese.
Can’t be true, Hillary swore none of her e-mails were even Classified.
Hopefully we all know that DoJ will play the game of claiming the documents are too sensitive to enter into evidence at a public trial, so they can’t indict the traitor.
Hey Eddie01, that there’s pretty funny until you start getting mental images and then its time for brain bleach.
Anybody else would already be in prison for a very long time.
Treason.
Don’t doubt that some if this info relates to the Clinton Foundation payoffs from foreign governments and the commiserate special favors from the State Department while the Witch was SOS.
This goes way beyond what most people think. The only thing left would be photos of Hillary being handed bags of cash from an Arab diplomat.
We could ask China, Russia or Iran to share the emails with us...
Truth, Justice, and the American Way.
Think the point you might be missing, is that it would be that damaging to our national security to release them.
That’s rather damning.
“Thatâs one hell of an excuse not to see these emails. Our enemies know whatâs in them, but the American People will be kept in the dark. That way we have No idea what crimes this administration has committed.”
You don’t have to see these emails to know the damage. In fact, the average person might or might not realize the damage from seeing them.
The point is, it is only suspicioned that the server was hacked. You can release information of this importance on speculation. Besides, even if the Russians and/or the Chinese hacked the server, there are many other countries that did not.
Not going to show evidence of wrongdoing because the evidence of wrongdoing is TOO incriminating!
“I am reminded that for months and months, the Clinton staff did not have security clearances and I think some were never cleared”
Furthermore, neither did her attorney when she transferred the server to his custody. No clearance. No proper storage. That, in and of itself, is a crime.
“Why is everybody always picking on me?”
He’s a clown, that Charlie Brown. He’s gonna get caught, just you wait and see
“But you can leave your hat on”
After all these years Hillary is going down. :)
“We could ask China, Russia or Iran to share the emails with us...”
Nah! They hanging onto for use in blackmail.
Oh, that too. But they’ll be so blacked out it won’t give anyone up. Plus, Snowden has them already.
That’s for sure.
