The media consensus after the first GOP debate in August was that the Fox News moderators had done a good job. The idea that they had done poorly was a minority view, outside of the fervent gallery of Donald Trump supporters.

But not their loser Establish boy Jebby.
Trump outted fox for what and who they are.
Fox News: 7
Trump: 6,000,000
The anti Fox patriots got a whole lot bigger.
I’m almost, almost feeling sorry for the employees of Fox, they know whats happening, America is getting sick and tired of being manipulated....for Google ad revenue.
Wallace was a total jerk.
Whoever wins is going to have to cope with whatever liberal moderators the Dems and their media buddies give us. Better to get practice now IMO
Back in August I suggested the rules should be...
One moderator. I suggest Sean Hannity since he seems to be fair and get along with everybody.
Broad based questions like “What would you do about (ISIS, Soc. Security, Taxes, etc.)”.
Each candidate gets a fixed amount of time to answer in random order. Voters can decide for themselves if they answered the question or told the truth. We don’t need the “moderators” interrupting to give their opinions.
But of course the whole idea was to make the Fox hosts the stars of the show, not the candidates.
Trump is going to build a TV network, so incredible the DNC and GOP and all the other tv networks, will pay him to have all debates in the future on it.
I might have a round or responses to the question, followed by a round of rebuttals to the statements made by other candidates, but it’s the same approach as yours. Give each candidate the same amount of time, give all candidates big questions, and let them express themselves on the issues and then respond directly to each other. That should be it for the debates.
“Wallace was a total jerk.”
Probably a genetic condition.
Mike Wallace was as much of a “progressive” as Chris Wallace, and just as prejudiced in his thinking, if not more. He was probably even more viciously anti-Reagan than Dan Rather, who, oddly enough, was considered “more professional” than Mike Wallace.
Well, if nothing else the mask has long since been torn off faux. It would take a miracle at this point for them to recover their credibility as being fair.
Why should Trump or Cruz or anyone accept liberal moderators?
Liberals have a stranglehold on the legacy media. We need to fight that stranglehold, not accept it.
I honour Trump for pushing back against the false, toxic game that political debates have become.
Priebus should be fired for this lousy debate fiasco. He must be a Democrat mole, working for a Hillary win by destroying the GOP candidates.
Mark Steyn or Rush should moderate the debates.
Well, that prissy little pansy Chris Wallace thinks so and so do his two half-witted understudies.
Have the candidates in sound proof booths with an audio video link to the outside
Ask each candidate the same three questions - but no candidate know what the questions are
Ask each candidate one unique question
They have three minutes to answer the joint questions and 5 minutes to answer the unique question
At the end of three minutes cut the mike.
Then post the answers on a commercialized You Tube channel
Now I’ve got coffee all over my screen.
No, Hannity would interview himself all night. Telling us his position as a “ Reagan Republican”.
