Back in August I suggested the rules should be...

One moderator. I suggest Sean Hannity since he seems to be fair and get along with everybody.

Broad based questions like “What would you do about (ISIS, Soc. Security, Taxes, etc.)”.

Each candidate gets a fixed amount of time to answer in random order. Voters can decide for themselves if they answered the question or told the truth. We don’t need the “moderators” interrupting to give their opinions.

But of course the whole idea was to make the Fox hosts the stars of the show, not the candidates.

I might have a round or responses to the question, followed by a round of rebuttals to the statements made by other candidates, but it’s the same approach as yours. Give each candidate the same amount of time, give all candidates big questions, and let them express themselves on the issues and then respond directly to each other. That should be it for the debates.

Yes, but he'd interrupt all of their responses.

No, Hannity would interview himself all night. Telling us his position as a “ Reagan Republican”.

"But of course the whole idea was to make the Fox hosts the stars of the show, not the candidates.", which why moderators should be chosen from the jury pool of the state in which the debate is held. Remember Joe the Plumber.

I agree.

I don't much care for each candidate being asked unique questions. There is a place for that, but we hardly ever get to see all candidates answering the same question. If you want to compare each candidate it only makes sense to ask them the same questions rather than comparing how Cruz answered an immigration question to how Rubio answered a civil rights question. Apples and oranges that seem to be designed to corner specific candidates rather than determine which one has the best answers to common questions.
