Corey Lewandowski, the campaign manager for 2016 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, exposed a blatant conflict of interest on Wednesday that the Fox News Channel has been hiding for months.
Lewandowski showed how Fox News has been hiding the fact that Fox News Channel Vice President Bill Sammon has a daughter working for the campaign of the Washington establishment-backed Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL).
Sammon's daughter, Brooke Sammon, is Rubio's national press secretary, and obviously both have a vested interest in the success of the Rubio campaign and the demise of the other campaigns.
CNN's Erin Burnett asked Lewandowski about Fox News's controversial anti-Trump statement from Tuesday evening--and specifically the network's claim that the top Trump aide had allegedly made threats against Fox News anchor and Thursday debate co-moderator Megyn Kelly--when he responded by dropping the explosive revelation.
Lewandowski revealed two things for the first time: that the executive he was discussing matters with was Bill Sammon, and that Sammon's daughter Brooke Sammon works for Rubio's campaign, giving the first-term Floridian Senator an obvious boost. That blatant conflict of interest has never before been disclosed to the viewers of Fox News by the network.
"Not only did I not make threats, but the conversation with the Fox News executive--his daughter works for the Rubio campaign, he's one of the executives on Fox that writes the debate questions so maybe he has his own ulterior motives, I'm not sure," Lewandowski told Burnett in the Wednesday evening CNN interview. He went on:
But his daughter is a senior executive on the Rubio campaign, maybe he should disclose that before he's writing the debate questions for Fox.

"You da best."
It's manageable, of course, if the relationships are disclosed in advance and voluntarily. In this case that wasn't done, which means it's safe to assume the worst. It was a big deal when George Will didn't disclose his wife worked for Scott Walker.
With full disclosure, the viewer can make an informed judgment.
I think that FOX wants to take Cruz out, too. The GOPe don't like either Trump or Cruz. They want Bush or barring that, Rubio.
Trump knows they're out to trash him. Cruz has become deluded into thinking they now like him, in much the same way McCain thought the press liked him.
Whoa there... strawman much? Take a deep breath and refocus.
The subject is the fact that the very thought The Donald actually being upstaged is a very traumatic occurrence for his loyalists. Ergo, in their minds, the only possible explanation is there's a conspiracy afoot.
How about you admit he's only human?
Who knows if it's a GOPe drone, or trolling for some other reason. But...just look at who's playing Devil's Advocate on this thread and it's a who's who of disruption.
Responding is a waste of time.
Running away from a biased press doesn’t help anyone. Except Donald, who is the only one who can run away and be called a hero and genius by his followers.
And I maintain if indeed that disclosure was a requirement, it should have been followed... but at this point, that's unknown. The fact that Brooke made her connection to Rubio's campaign public very early on blunts the whole notion that there was an intent to "hide" something.
And.. the idea that Rubio can sharply respond to questions at debates is attributable to somehow having been "fed" the questions is laughable. He performs equally well on the debate stage at other venues (CNN's, for instance). I would find it rather difficult to believe Candy Crowley gave Rubio such an advantage.
Conspiracy theories are fun, because they're participative... everyone gets to play. But this is much ado about nothing.
If Trump wasn’t a... (rhymes with rich)... He would go one-on-one with Cruz.
:-)
Bottom line, he’s afraid of a girl. Weak.
Man up and stand up to her, Don. Even people that hate her should realize she’s far from the worst moderator these debates have had. Those clowns from the CNBC debate were the pits.
Thanks for that important piece of the puzzle!

[snip]Meet Cesar Conda, chief of staff, Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., close associate and fellow amnesty pusher of Grover Norquist, who last week called all of us who want our borders secured, âBitter endersâ, He might as well have called us âSavagesâ.
Here is detailed some of the undermining of immigration law these two have accomplished over 3 decades, including working closely with Stephen Moore of the Cato Institute, Conda circulated a statement against Prop. 187 of California in the nineties. The race baiting they pulled on Alan Simpson when he tried to enforce the borders in the 90âs was nothing but disgusting.
Conda, an immigration lawyer, was Vice President Dick Cheneyâs chief domestic policy adviser. After leaving there, Conda went to work on the editorial advisory board of the Soros publication, The International Economy Magazine.

“She is not trashy like most of the Fox News crew”
So she is a stuck up prude and some kind of boring bible thumper, you know, the very same thing liberals claimed of conservative reporters until the Fox Babes started wearing short dresses and took all the attention and now the liberals are complaining about that.
Yes, it’s a tangled little web of powerful DC brokers who pop up over and over who control these candidates behind the scenes.....the ONLY exception is Donald Trump!
Full disclosure is a requirement if one wishes to maintain the appearance and fact of objectivity. Full disclosure doesn't mean the fact was reported somewhere at some point in the past. Full disclosure means that at some point during the introduction of the 'debate' FOX discloses all ties to the campaigns. That's what's REQUIRED.
How in the HELL do these people get elected????
BOMBSHELL!
Amazing isn't it? Fox News, once a Conservative stalwart of a news channel is now being exposed as no better than CNNNBCABCCBSMSNBC etc ....all of which have high profile "journalists" married to, or directly related to some high ranking Congressional / Government figure.
Of COURSE they're in collusion to protect the status quo!
We will see how you feel after this debate when they give their damnedest to take Cruz out, so Rubio and Trump are neck in neck!!!
How about stop with the conspiracy theories.
She’s been working for almost a year with Rubio. Apparently that bit of knowledge isn’t enough for you. As I said earlier... IF that was a specific requirement then Sammon should’ve abided by it.
What the hell more do you want to hear?
"If that was a specific requirement?" What does that mean?
