Trump isn't the first top-tier presidential candidate to skip a debate. Ronald Reagan did not attend a Republican debate ahead of the 1980 Iowa caucuses, which he lost to George H.W. Bush. Reagan went on to the win the nomination and the presidency.

If Fox had issued a similar PR about Cruz, you Cruzers would go apes**t and praise Cruz if he had as much balls to skip out as Trump did.

We wouldn't have been faced with the problem because Cruz is an adult and a professional and wouldn't throw a hissy-fit about the debate moderators. He would have shown up and dealt with it.

It doesn't take balls to run away.

Well, if someone tried to slap me down saying, I was only a girl, I would find that offensive.

Yeah, but . . . but, yeah, but so what. Trump did it so it's BAD, didn't you get the memo?

“If a candidate wins both the disparate states of Iowa and New Hampshire, it seems they will win everything.

True or false?”

False. The first six months of this campaign have proven clearly this year is quite different than those in the past. All the old theories should be thrown out the window.

Just that skipping an Iowa debate is not unprecedented.

Losing in Iowa after skipping an Iowa debate is also not unprecedented.

Did Reagan also have a hissy fit and do juvenile name-calling about a moderator?

Did the “moderator” slobber all over a well known conservative like Michael Moore two days before that debate?

Trump may turn out to be better than Reagan especially if he does not have a dork like Bush as his VP.

Neither did Trump.

Yeah he did.

Be truthful.....Trump balked at Ailes mocking him on Twitter. If Ailes did that to Cruz, you all would be howling about it.

No, we wouldn't. Because Cruz is adult enough and professional enough not to get upset when someone takes a shot at him. Trump's skin is a millimeter thick, and if he takes the nomination then it's clear how to detail his campaign. Just say something mean about him and he'll fly off the handle. Can you see a President Trump taking the kind of crap that Obama and George Bush took on a daily basis? Or Reagan?

The only reason you think it's ok for the owner of the sponsoring debate network to go after one of the debate candidates, is that they didn't do it to Cruz.

And again, the only reason Ailes went after Trump was because Trump balked at Kelly being a moderator.

Why would Trump be entitled to equal respect? He does not earn respect with his foolish behavior.

Great. Then you should have no complaints. Your darling CRuz can waltz in to the debate, dazzle them with his *brilliance* and win the hearts and minds of millions....with the stage all to himself. Right?

Rather than whining, again, and rushing/desiring to be with Trump....CRuz should seize this opportunity to *shine*.

You are conflating Conservatism with the term 'Republican'.
