On the same day that Donald Trump earned the endorsement of evangelical leader Jerry Falwell Jr., Jeb Bush expressed doubt over whether Donald Trump is a Christian, remarking that the Manhattan businessman merely views faith as another political tool.
Asked by reporters in Nevada on Tuesday whether he believed Trump to be a Christian, Bush said he does not.
"No, I don't know what he is," the former governor of Florida said, according to video posted by ABC News. "I just don't think he has the relationship that he says he has, if you can't explain it in any way that shows that he's serious about it. Just accepting the fact that we make mistakes and you seek forgiveness. That's one of the tenets of the Christian faith, that I think all -everybody can agree on. We're all sinners."

Yes because pounding Bush is good therapy. The longer Bush is in, Trump can link Clinton to Bush, and continue the dynastic argument against their candidacy. Schlonging them both.
Tricky Trump against Dumb and Stupid. It is lots of fun to watch

I judge a manâs Christian character by the fruit in his life, not his words. I agree. Attempting to Steal a persons Property or Covet your Neighbors wife are two things one could just a person by? Perhaps, bearing false witness against someone? How about bribery of public officials?

Jebra, you are so lame. The appropriate response would to say something along the lines that it is not your place to judge such a thing. Idiot!

I have no idea what "Christian in bad standing" means. One is either justified or not.
The man who made original statement, Jeb Bush, is a Catholic. I am responding according to Catholic standards. Our Church teaches that there are bad Christians, those who commit seriosu sin, die in serious sin and go to hell. Dante said that the floor of hell is paved with the skulls of bishops.
So, I am addressing this in terms of the Faith that Jeb and I share. You can disagree, but I was pointing out that Jeb's statement, on the basis of the Faith that he and I share, was not fair to Trump.

Like most of his conservative stances I think Trump’s faith is real...and also recent and subject to change.

but.....he thinks Obama is a Christian and it isn’t a political tool of Obama.
What a rat, Jeb needs to get lost!

Jeb provides more evidence that his brain is much like the toy turtles in his pocket, tiny, inert, and hidden in a dark place not far from his rectum. Were it alive it would also be slow.

Jeb Bush and I are both Catholic. In our Faith, if you believe certain basic tenets of Christianity, mainly about the Divinity of Christ, the Holy Trinity, etc., you are considered to be Christian. Maybe not a Good Christian, but a Christian. Trump says heâs a Presbyterian. We consider Presbyterians (who actually hold the old formal beliefs of the Presbyterian sect) to be Christians. So he claims to be a member of a denomination...
Mark that box.

On this JEB does have a point. Trump himself says he does not ask for forgiveness as he has done nothing wrong.
That right there is his true character. A True Christian would say, "yes, I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior and publicly done so, yet I am still a Sinner, but a forgiven sinner. In fact I am the worst of sinners as in the company of PAUL says he was.

Stuff it you Trump-hating troll....
I don’t hate Donald Trump, I’ll likely vote for him in the general.
You however sir are a typical boorish, classless Trump worshiper who does your cause no service.
To: traderrob6
One thing for sure..Donalds "faith" is not a high priority in his life.
Your comment above reveals that you are an ignorant judgmental boor yourself, pretending to 'know' something about a man's faith that you have no way of knowing.
And I doubt that you would vote for Trump in the general if you are already displaying such an animus towards him at this early stage.
Sorry if I hurt your widdle feelings in my post #5.
