Trump Campaign Statement on Debate

- JANUARY 26, 2016 -

TRUMP CAMPAIGN STATEMENT ON FOX NEWS DEBATE

(New York, NY) January 26th, 2016 - As someone who wrote one of the best-selling business books of all time, The Art of the Deal, who has built an incredible company, including some of the most valuable and iconic assets in the world, and as someone who has a personal net worth of many billions of dollars, Mr. Trump knows a bad deal when he sees one. FOX News is making tens of millions of dollars on debates, and setting ratings records (the highest in history), where as in previous years they were low-rated afterthoughts.

Unlike the very stupid, highly incompetent people running our country into the ground, Mr. Trump knows when to walk away. Roger Ailes and FOX News think they can toy with him, but Mr. Trump doesn’t play games. There have already been six debates, and according to all online debate polls including Drudge, Slate, Time Magazine, and many others, Mr. Trump has won all of them, in particular the last one. Whereas he has always been a job creator and not a debater, he nevertheless truly enjoys the debating process - and it has been very good for him, both in polls and popularity.

He will not be participating in the FOX News debate and will instead host an event in Iowa to raise money for the Veterans and Wounded Warriors, who have been treated so horribly by our all talk, no action politicians. Like running for office as an extremely successful person, this takes guts and it is the kind mentality our country needs in order to Make America Great Again.

I heard earlier today that Cruz has challenged Trump to debate him alone on Levin’s radio show, after Levin endorsed Cruz. Nice.

Then this evening I heard Cruz has challenged Trump to debate him alone without any moderators.

Poor Ted. He needs attention so badly. Donald should tell Ted that when he gets within five points of him to give him a call and he will consider it.

As for me, on Thursday night I will be watching the “Wounded Warrior Town Hall” with Donald Trump, NOT the Fox Debate with the Bimbo as a moderator. :)

Glad he walked away. Cruz should too.

Nope he will stand there and hope they call on him for his 60 second rebuttal to the flail shot Rubio just landed on his non blackened eye. He's a true fighter don't ya know. And he lawyers. What a resume for the highest EXECUTIVE office in the land. Heck he could be Beck's VP instead of the other way around.

“...Are you really that dense? The guy with one of the top shows on NBC and made $200 million off it does not know how the game is played? Really? You may want to rethink your thoughts...”

I have thought about it. But speaking of dense — I don’t think too many of his supporters have thought *too* much about it. I think they see a guy poking the GOP in the eye and stop looking any further. Like I’ve said before, the only thing his “running” from a fight with Megyn Kelly does is make Trump look like a petulant child. As if he can only “win” when the deck is stacked well in his favor.

Neither these debates, nor the presidency and congress, will be like his normal “business” deals where he holds all the financial leverage and it’s either his way or the highway.

If elected, he’s going to have to deal with dems in congress who have no incentive to change anything. Gridlock benefits them as well as the GOPe. So Trump will have to negotiate with them to advance his agenda. All fine and well until the dems refuse to budge on his *SIGNATURE* agenda item: “border security & immigration”. And I think we can all agree that the dems digging in on that is a reasonable expectation. Trump will have to get them to agree to stifle an influx of millions of new *democrat* voters. He *will* have to deal with them and he/we *need* him to succeed.

But here’s the (so far) HYUUUUGE unknown: What if anything has Trump said is non-negotiable and what is he willing to cede to the dems to gain enough of their votes in congress when needed to advance his *SIGNATURE* agenda? What basic rights will he allow further infringement upon by either legislation and/or executive policy? Assault rifle ban? Magazine bans? Planned Parenthood funding? Private Property Rights? Will he trade Supreme Court nominations?

What sort of Supreme Court justice(s) does he plan to nominate? Will he agree to nominate another Sotomayor or Kagen in return for the dems agreeing to a (perhaps) watered down version of his border/immigration plan so that his ego can claim a win?

With no leverage against the dems other than giving them *something* they want (in whole or in part) that is sufficient to get enough of them to go along with his agenda. In that regard, has Trump said which of our rights are non-negotiable? What will he not surrender in his negotiations?

As far as I am aware, he has been silent on all of this. He only speaks in vague generalities. I’d like to hear him state specifically that he is not going to allow *any* further infringement on anything in the bill of rights and I’d like to hear specifically what he will look for in appointing judges to federal benches *and* SCOTUS. Until then, his supporters might want to rethink their thoughts too. Maybe instead of mere fist-pumps and high-fives, they could take just a moment or two to ask Trump some pertinent questions and do us *all* a favor.

That’s the meme the eGOP and America haters are putting out about Trump.

Fox and crew are so desperate they are saying Trumps campaign threatened Megyn and that Trumps campaign is “terrorizing” them.

Who’s running scared now?

I see you are using Megyn Kelly’s talking points.

The Thursday night Fox thingie will be the Megyn Kelly Show and now they will only have Cruz to pick on in person.

(Megyn would continue to go all Candy Crowley on Trump if he showed up.)

No prob for them, they need both Trump and Cruz out to get their agenda in place.

He should write a big check to Wounded Warriors

I'd guess that's how he'll kick off the event.

Per Breitbart:
Fox News and Google have invited three YouTube personalities to ask questions at the Jan. 28 GOP debate — including a Muslim advocate who describes Donald Trump as a bigot and who visually portrayed him as being in agreement with national socialist Adolf Hitler.

If Trump gave wounded warriors half his fortune, then I’d be impressed.

I'd be impressed if you got off your a$$ and made a donation.

I have.

Oh, you’re right. Trump is not “one hell of a WEENY”...he’s a little WEENY afraid of facing a girl. He’s very FRIGHTENED of Megyn Kelly and he tries to mask that fear by BLUSTERING. He does NOT have the right stuff to be Commander-in-Chief.

To think that I almost stopped reading this thread, and then I got to your post. It is the best post I have seen in months. Please do start a vanity thread using it. Most people won’the both to read through 300 posts, a high percentage which are nonsense, to get to yours. Others do need to see it.

So, Trump tells Megyn Kelly to shove it and goes to raise money for, and probably donate a bunch of money to Wounded Warriors.

In the mean time Fox News counters by invites a Muslim advocate to help asks questions of the other GOP candidates.

Just who will most Americans side with in that dust up do you suppose?

I got news for Fox and Googel...it will not be them.
