TRUMP CAMPAIGN STATEMENT ON FOX NEWS DEBATE
(New York, NY) January 26th, 2016 - As someone who wrote one of the best-selling business books of all time, The Art of the Deal, who has built an incredible company, including some of the most valuable and iconic assets in the world, and as someone who has a personal net worth of many billions of dollars, Mr. Trump knows a bad deal when he sees one. FOX News is making tens of millions of dollars on debates, and setting ratings records (the highest in history), where as in previous years they were low-rated afterthoughts.
Unlike the very stupid, highly incompetent people running our country into the ground, Mr. Trump knows when to walk away. Roger Ailes and FOX News think they can toy with him, but Mr. Trump doesnât play games. There have already been six debates, and according to all online debate polls including Drudge, Slate, Time Magazine, and many others, Mr. Trump has won all of them, in particular the last one. Whereas he has always been a job creator and not a debater, he nevertheless truly enjoys the debating process - and it has been very good for him, both in polls and popularity.
He will not be participating in the FOX News debate and will instead host an event in Iowa to raise money for the Veterans and Wounded Warriors, who have been treated so horribly by our all talk, no action politicians. Like running for office as an extremely successful person, this takes guts and it is the kind mentality our country needs in order to Make America Great Again.
If thatâs bashing (âall you do is..â), you might wanna thicken that skin up a bit. Youâre absolutely right, Iâm posting a lot.
**********************************************
Not too much to post about the first 17 years or so you were here?
You are right.
I did not make my money the NYC way, by screwing investors through bankruptcy and getting favors from Dem politicians I bribed with “campaign contributions.”
But Rump did!
He should have Sarah and Joe ask all the questions. That would be worth the price of admission.
If Cruz did that he would bump 5 pts but his managers would never let him. Too risky.
You don’t care, yet you took the time to post and insult Trump supporters.
Amen. I admit I hardly come to FR anymore and have not for years due to the constant in-fighting, but this site has changed so much with Trump now being trumpeted.
I am so used to Facebook comments, I tried to like this post.
At first glance, yes, it seems petulant and childish
That Trump is refusing
To show at the debates.
But to hear his reasons, I kind of get it.
We have all sat around for the past eight years grumbling
About the power the media has over the process of who we pick as elected
Leaders. Now we have a leader who is not afraid to upset .... Or perhaps a better word might be to alter our conventional means of how we go through this process. We have seen many debates now on the republican side, and I think it’s enough, for the time being. We obviously have a front runner, we can see how it goes they these initial primaries and go
From there. I for one AM really sick if hearing these candidates ramble on ad nauseam every 3 weeks like broken records. I’m tired if these ridiculous reporters inserting themselves, even elevating themselves over these debates like some kind of gods.
Trump also states that he’s sick if the money game. It is absolutely obscene what these outlets make from these debates. That’s what keeps them
In power .... That’s what keeps them able to influence us.
Kind if have to wonder if Trump is just shaking it up purposely. We shall have to see — for now I will reserve judgement on trump’s decision.
I just saw that Donald Trump has refused to be a part of Thursdays debate because Megyn Kelly was going to be one of the moderators. Looks to me like Megyn Kelly just scored a “Knock Out” punch on the Donald. If he can’t take on a 130 pound woman, how does he intend to take on Vladamir? So much for being a “Big Boy” & making America Great Again. Maybe if elected he should ask Jimmy Carter for a little of his courage.
This is huge for Fox. I speculate this will resolve with Murdock firing aisles, My G Y N and brett Hume by morning.
I agree that the media is biased, but if Trump can’t outwit Megyn Kelley, what’s he going to do when the Dems in congress balk at his signature agenda item: border security and immigration? Or Putin? Or Chiiiii-naaah? He won’t have the option of taking his baseball mitt and stomping off home then.
Did you see the comments on Trump’s page? :)
Looks like the country wants jobs back from China and the illegals gone and the wall built, much more than principles of conservatism. The grocery store refuses to sell them food without cash.
Hey, if you trust him to pick SCOTUS nominees, good luck to you.
Nice!
I guess (and I’m not being glib) nothing’s gotten me as riled up as the prospect of FReepers abandoning their conservative principles and supporting a progressive. Can absolutely assure you not a sleeper and not a troll. Just a guy who hasnt been fooled by trump and don’t trust him as far as I could throw him.
FOX should hire some circus clown to stand in for Trump.
I agree. Trump has determined that his position in Iowa is the best he can do. He’s taking a lead and trying to sit on it. So far it looks to be backfiring and pulling a bipolar back in could be worse. We’ll have to see if it works.
And you’re a nut!
Have you ever heard of “slander” my friend? You may want to think very carefully about an apology before you retire for the evening. VERY CAREFULLY!!
