FBI going 'right to the source' in Clinton email probe, interviewing intel agencies
Fox News ^ | January 26, 2016 | Catherine Herridge, Pamela K. Browne

Posted on 01/26/2016 2:43:15 PM PST by jazusamo

The FBI is going straight to the source in its investigation of classified emails that crossed Hillary Clinton's personal server, speaking with the intelligence agencies - and in some cases, the individuals - that generated the information, two intelligence sources familiar with the probe told Fox News.

Investigators are meeting with the agencies and individuals to determine the classification level in the emails. The step speaks to the diligence with which the bureau is handling the investigation, despite the former secretary of state's claims that the matter boils down to a mere interagency dispute.

"This is not merely a difference of opinion between the State Department and the Department of Justice," one intelligence source, who is not authorized to speak on the record, told Fox News, referring to comments on the Sunday talk shows and by the Clinton campaign downplaying the FBI's investigation. "The bureau will go directly to depose specific individuals in agencies who generated the highly classified materials."

The source added, "At the end of the day it will be a paper case. Emails never disappear because computers never forget."

A former senior FBI intelligence officer, while not directly involved in the Clinton email investigation, previously told Fox News it was standard practice for the bureau to go directly to the originating source because it is cleaner and maintains the integrity of the investigation.

"You want to go right to the source," Timothy Gill Sr., a former senior FBI intelligence officer, said. "Investigative protocol would demand that."

So let me guess: they prosecute the people who “incorrectly” classified the material that Hillary [correctly] decided to declassify.

Follow the money, hundreds of millions flowed to the Clintons individually and through their phony foundation.

I read about the insane corruption and rot in third world countries. Did they learn from us or are we now emulating them? Or maybe it’s a buddy scheme.

If you read the whole article at the link one sentence jumps out. It says "there is a sense of "incredulity as to what is being discovered."

. That doesn't sound like good news for her

That’s my interpretation too. Hillary will never be indicted. She’s already being tried in the court of public opinion. The continuous leaks have to be deliberate.

This one destroys her latest defense.

I’m waiting for details of the criminality associated with the foundations. OTOH that may be reserved to use as the coup de grace if she doesn’t fold her tent and quit.

I’m not sure what they’re going to do, but it seems like they’re sure doing a lot of work if they’re just going to walk away.

It’s a good bet the Clintons learned much from those countries when they were young and dumb, then honed it.

I'm guessing they're wanting to know how the hell her flying monkeys were able to get information off of the secure network and onto the public internet. That's not supposed to happen.

It is important to note that the State Department does not have, and has not seen, the emails Hillary deleted. The FBI evidently does.

Interesting. The employees will not know what the FBI knows. Either they tell all and the truth, or many others will be swept up.

We need to keep in mind that the clock bigs running at the time of indictments. A new administration and justice department can keep it going. How does one give clemency to people who have not been convicted yet? Obama can't.

Am I missing something? The FBI has time, however this administration and appointees do not.

Agreed, it’s not good news for her.

Catherine Herridge is an excellent investigative reporter and doesn’t embellish her articles.

According to the article, they are combining the investigations of the illegality of her server leaks with the Clinton foundation criminality.

Trial in the court of Public Opinion, if it lasts long enough, will eventually result in real consequences.

I think Hillary has never been so smart as she always imagined she was, and I think this stuff is going to end up burning her one way or another.

If we are lucky, we will get to see that human garbage known as Bill Clinton go to prison too.

In addition the FBI should be talking to everyone who sent classified information to HRC and ask how and why it found its way to an un-class server from the secure network.

It can't happen by e-mail from a closed system. People had to copy the information to a storage device (illegal) and then either transcribe the information (also illegal) or just copy and paste to the un-secure system (also illegal).

There are a bunch of people we are talking about here and they are all in legal cross hairs.

Then there are the people who received classified information from HRC who knew or should have known that it was classified and on a un-secured network, did they send it on? Did they fail to report the security breach?

We could be talking about hundreds of people here.

A whole lot of “arm waving” in that town hall explanation. Can we say she’s lying?

Oh please? The FBI couldn't even find out who hired Craig Livingstone and why when it came to Hillary? Vince Foster? Waco evidence destroyed? Missing? Chi-com defense technology sales? Moving that authority from DOD to state so they could do it? Ron Brown?

Please? If they didn't get the Clintons last century they sure as hell aren't touching them now.

They aren't in charge of the government anymore, and they have left a lot of pissed off people in positions of power.

I think if Cruz gets the Presidency, they are toast. I think if Trump gets the Presidency, they will also likely be toast, though i'm not so sure that Trump would mash them so badly as I know Cruz would.

And then the entire investigative and prosecutorial arms of the government needs to be turned against Obama, his staff, and his financial contributors.

Everyone who helped Obama needs to go to prison. We need to make examples of people. Every military officer who did not defy that shit head needs to be cashiered.

We don't need our military to be ran by unprincipled cowards who will not stand up to an idiot and tell him to "Go F*** yourself."

The next president needs to bring massive upheaval to the corruption and idiocy running rampant in the corridors of power today.

This quote is interesting.

“The source said both tracks are being pursued “vigorously” and there is a sense of “incredulity as to what is being discovered.”

Hillary may still skate; but it seems like she may have gotten herself in a deeper hole than she can get out of this time.
My faith in the nation would be greatly bolstered if this pans out; and a crook and liar like her is held accountable for wrongdoing.

All good points.

No doubt that the people around her deserve indictments, I just hope Lynch and her cronies don’t let Clinton’s lapdogs take the fall for her.

I think Hillary has never been so smart as she always imagined she was...

She's typical of the kind of moron who swings their weight around under color of law or someone else's authority and influence. She really thinks she is somebody.
