A 9 point lead about 7 weeks out doesnât seem too bad, but it still leaved Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio plenty of time to catch up.
Trump leads every demographic except for 46-59 year old likely voters, where he trails Cruz by 3, among black voters, trailing Ben Carson, and among Hispanic voters, where he is tied for 3rd place.
The Tar Heel State offers those still in the race a significant number of delegates on March 15th, allocating them proportionally as long as a candidate receives 1.45% of the vote. March 15th is the earliest a primary can be held that uses a winner-take-all method of delegate allocation, and we will likely see the race winnowed down to perhaps 3-4, perhaps less, within a couple days of the 15th.

again...I wonder how accurate polling this season is. They were WAY off in KY.
Trump however seems to be living by the poll right now.
is the guy even 50?
good for him for rising to 2nd.
Keep making a mark in the senate, or maybe VP? i dont know.
straighten out a few things, and run in eight years.
10 or 20 points is too much to make up with little time left.
i never thought he would break 5 percent and i supported him.
Uh, oh...Cruz is closing in
That’s all?
Cool!
Trump takes the South!
There’s an affinity there.
Trump’s mistress and baby mama was from the South, Georgia.
Southern people love Trump.
Victory!
Yeah, well, North Carolina is obviously full of heathens who hate the Constitution.
As Trump wins more States his poll numbers will rise.
Glad to know I’m being counted.
Off in KY but right on target in LA, where “the democracy” scored a pickup.
not surprising considering that the news coverage is almost 27/7 Donald trump and how much free advertising he gets on fox news and in interviews all the time
“Yeah, well, North Carolina is obviously is full of heathens who hate the Constitution.”

GO TRUMP!!
Didn’t you get the memo? Polls that show Trump up are dumb polls with faulty methodology, purposefully polling only stupid people. The only polls to be trusted are the ones that show Cruz leading...or rather the one that shows Cruz leading.
“Trump however seems to be living by the poll right now.”
He has said he will along as they are good ;)
He is just using everything he has at his disposal, and is flexible should that change.
He is playing the media like a fiddle.
