Beck said he had never endorsed a presidential candidate in his 40 years of broadcasting, but he made an exception because of the urgency of the moment.
He said he even prefers Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), a self-proclaimed "democratic socialist" running in the Democratic presidential primary, to Trump.
"Honesty, faith and truth are basic requirements. And quite honestly, I have to tell you, this probably isn't going to go over very well, that's why I like Bernie Sanders," he said. "Bernie Sanders is like, 'Yep, I'm a socialist.'
"I can actually sit at a table with a man who says, 'Yes, I'm a socialist, and yes, I don't like what we are doing, we should be more like Denmark,' " he added.

If Ted Cruz is such a smart guy...how did he allow Beck on the same stage with him?
Maybe it's time for a new Cruz campaign manager?
Exactly how many threads will we see today on FreeRepublic all presenting the same distortion of what Beck said? Repeat a lie often enough, I guess...
Actually, Beck has been saying he likes Sanders for a long time.
The Surprising Socialist Glenn Beck Says He Could Be Friends With (2014 article)
Maybe it’s time for a new Cruz campaign manager?
_______
That’s hilarious.
Beck is just nuts... Cruz would make a fine President and an even better Supreme Court Justice.
That said, Trump would have an easier time doing the things that matter to me... like stopping illegals, building the Wall, fixing the VA, and making trade deals that aren't suicide pacts...
Did you read the article?
Seriously, Glenn, get help.
Maybe mad Bernie will hire beck or maybe Mrs Clinton will.
Beck has been terrible for cruz. About time he “help” the democrats.
The lady did not sell her house. Trump didn’t bulldoze it.
Beck is a certified nut!
has me wondering if the people of Texas even want Cruz as Senator anymore...
Oh, I see you’re from Utah. Why don’t you worry about getting rid of Orrin Hatch, HarleyLady27, instead of trashing a good man and equally good senator. And yes, I’m from Texas and plan on voting for the reelection of Senator Cruz regardless of what happens in this primary because he’s the best thing to happen to our state in a very long time.
I agree Borin Orrin is a POS and always has been but Mike Lee is also in Utah and he has keep his nose clean...
I’m not talking about UTAH, I’m talking about TEXAS where Ted Cruz is Senator, for how much longer I don’t know, but I do know one thing, anyone that hooks up with Crazy Glen Beck is associated with him, like two peas in one pod...
What happened on that stage last night with Glen Beck and Ted Cruz was about as disgusting as you can get...
He either has poor handlers or he is an out and out idiot!
And if you want that to represent the fine State of Texas I wonder what is in the drinking water, and I also wonder why you would ever allow some ‘nut job’ like Beck to deep six your senator...
Maybe Glenn plans to endorse a candidate from each party. :-)
“I can’t remember when I had so much fun.”
Me neither. I’m 75 and have been politically active since 1964, but I NEVER actually had fun like this! Love it!
I learned in the Rick band never to let anyone “sit in.” When you give up control of the stage, three things can happen and two are bad—the player can be better than you and make you look bad; the player can be worse and chase off your audience; or they can be just right and make you look good. Palin was rusty but still made Trump look good. Beck made Cruz look silly. Just a REALLY bad visual of being “sworn in” before winning a single state, hardening to Rafael’s “King ordained to reign” comment about Ted.
Stupid spell check. Rock band
Agree and bump :)
Cruz is getting involved with some very weird ducks. The two jumped the shark with that Oath of office business. Like two children playing - umm.. school perhaps One the teacher and the other the student. Cruz seems to be self destructing and each day becoming more of an expert at doing so. Don’t alcoholics do this on occasion? The time is now for an intervention...w/o Beck, as he seems to be long past such action working on him. Friends of Cruz - help the man, please, sinking in quicksand and the view is painful to watch.
