Bitter Truce Fox News Ailes FURIOUS at NR's Lowry for Forcing Fox to Cede Moral High Ground to Trump

Ailes is mad at Lowry because this move means, in the ongoing war between Fox News and Trump, Fox News has now "given up the moral high ground." Essentially, Ailes understands, that means his network looks like the unfair aggressor that Trump has accused it of being -rather than a neutral arbiter of the news - all while Trump continues soaring in the 2016 GOP primary polls.

But on Wednesday evening, Lowry appearing on Kelly's program compromised Fox's position in the war by veering down a vulgar path in his attack on Trump. Even Kelly, who also dislikes Trump, clearly was shocked at what Lowry said live on air, reacting "What did you just say? You can't say that!"

Fox has not officially announced that they have reprimanded Lowry, and there are no media reports of that at this time.

As a loyal Cruz supporter who has watched the total sellout of Fox News in their efforts to ruin both Trump and Cruz I have to say to Roger Ailes that it is time take a long, long look in the Fox Mirror. It is not a pretty picture.

Despite the election year, a year when I would normally be glued to Fox News, I find myself basically ignoring them these days. What good is a news organization where the vision of the even the visionary Krauthammer was unable to detect what was obvious to the majority of Freepers months ago - namely that Trump was going to be a big deal and Cruz would likely emerge as his major challenger.

Enough of this Fox News. We knew you when you were good, maybe great. That’s gone, perhaps forever.
