A great summary of Trump's positions in his own words.

Both of them use an “obviously Christianesque garb” when they talk about issues on the campaign trail. The difference is that Cruz is being authentic when he says he’s an active church member who regularly reads the bible. Trump is not.
@Post 38 - I’m with you. I think much of the nasty debate we see on these threads is pointless. In the end, each of us has one potential vote in the primary and one potential vote in the actual election.
There is no perfect candidate nor is there any single person who will erase our decades long shift to the left. I think we would best be served by the person who will steer us back towards the right and bring the most Americans on board with that.
I think Cruz brings out the more “religious” crowd.
I don’t have near as much room for “religion” as I used to. “Religion” is how man tries to fumble his way towards God. Faith is how man says Yes when God approaches. It FINALLY got through my THICK HEAD that it is better to call to the Shepherd and have Him find ME, than it is to try to figure out where the Shepherd went. Because what I might think to be the latter might turn out (and in many cases has turned out) to be a wolf.
Cruz, I believe to my sadness, is more religion than faith in his approach.
Attacking the messenger is a common logical fallacy. The words are Trump’s words. The positions are Trump’s positions.
The motives of those who assembled the video are clear; They, like I, would prefer to not see Trump as our candidate. So what? Who else is going to tell you that which ought to be fueling a growing sense of cognitive dissonance on your part? Trump surely won’t - he’s playing for the most powerful office in the world.
His shame is so absent that he leaves them by dozens....
Blow me.

ANYTHING prior to 2011 is simply prior to his conversion to conservatism. It doesn’t apply.
I hope you are looking at the polls. Trump is blowing the competition away.
You realize that odds are very great right now that he will win.
Proust did not even touch on that theme. Why have you? S’excuse, s’accuse?
beautifully stated.
you should be a preacher :)
We’ve hated Obama all these years. Let the haters eat humble pie.
Yep, Cruz carries out “religion” just fine, in fact because he has put himself out there in so much higher profile, God is going to now require that much more out of him than Trump.
Trump does not pose a risk of being a serious scandal to the gospel; Cruz does.
Rank desperation is when you have to come out with a pro-life op-ed just before the Iowa caucuses that is 180 degrees from your pro-abortion LIEberalism supported for years.

Once upon a time, FR discouraged ignorant, moronic responses like that. Sadly, I see that is no longer the case.
Well I am, in an amateur sense. Sometimes the amateurs have done the best, because they were in it for the love of it.
Completely complies with his deal model. America screamed pro-life, and Trump heard. Why is your hair on fire?
Cruz ‘gets’ Putin’s broader agenda/intentions in the Middle East. Trump, at best!, is dangerously naive and profoundly ignorant on the subject of Russia and their expansionist agenda. And that “at best” is not what I think is going on. Russia is clearly on the move, in large part thanks to the current saboteur-in-chief Obama, in basically restoring the Soviet Union, or something similar to it. The last thing we need is another clown (and/or saboteur) in the White House.
I guess you blew him, like the big bad wolf blew the house (oops except it failed at the brick one)
