The Republican National Committee announced late Thursday that the venerable conservative magazine National Review had been dropped as a debate sponsor after it published an issue devoted to why voters should reject Donald Trump's presidential campaign.
RNC spokesman Sean Spicer confirmed to Buzzfeed News that the magazine had been dropped as a sponsor of the Feb. 25 debate in Houston, saying "a debate moderator can't have a predisposition."
"We expected this was coming," National Review publisher Jack Fowler wrote in a blog post early Friday, calling the RNC move a "small price to pay for speaking the truth about The Donald."

Wow. You seriously opened my eyes. Post your comment as a thread. Seriously. It will be a very active thread, and lots of eyes will be opened.
I am going to take umbrage with your last statement. I think they are in it to line their pockets. I think the more honorable thing would be to want to be in history books. I think that is the essence of Trump. No lining needed nor wanted. Let me do a good enough job that you want to add my smiling mug to Rushmore.
NR has just proven what Trump is saying about the “elite” in this country. They are STUPID.
hey whiskey. Always like your threads. Did the RNC get courage?

I wish I had Whiskey’s musical knowledge. Those posts are amazing for the hidden gems (as well as the unhidden).
Yeah cause publicity is always more important than principles just ask your hero Trump.
Well, the subscriptions numbers won’t drop because if me...I don’t read it.
Cruz is eligible as per the 1952 statute defining the NBC.
First the applicable statute:

Other documents relating to this matter:

All these sponsors of the debates have agendas.
Since National Review has comes out against Trump, that should be disqualified from sponsoring the debate.

The rule you advocate allows a US citizen mother to marry Achmed the mad bomber, and their child, born and raised in Iraq would be NBC of the US for his whole life, even if he never set foot in the US. I'm not saying eligible for president, that takes 14 years of residence.
The entire, and I mean ENTIRE weight of precedent on the subjects finds that foreign-born citizens are naturalized citizens.
I've studied this. I've written thousands of words citing the law and precedents, go through my FR history, I'm not going to discuss the issue with you. You believe whatever you want, I'm good with that.
No the constitution gives congress to define Natural as opposed to NAturalized by statute that is what they have done.
Please point where Cruz was wever naturalized as a citizen. Or are you saying he is an alien?
If so how is he a Senator.
I have no problem with your Trump kneepads but why vbase your case of an untruth?
Is National Review large;y an Establishment mouthpiece?
Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!
Are their comments on Trump accurate?
Yes they are.
Killing the messenger just because you can’t deal with the facts presented is cowardly it is sort of a reverse call to authority, the left does it all the time I am disappointed to see so many freeper using the tactics of the left as Trump has been doing.
So, Congress can declare everybody born in the world to be a natural citizen of the US. Sorry, case law and even common says that position is absurd. It's absurd on its face.
-- Please point where Cruz was wever naturalized as a citizen. Or are you saying he is an alien? --
He's a naturalized citizen. That means he is not an alien.
If you thing naturalization depends on a naturalization ceremony, you are mistaken. Again, there are hundreds if not thousands of case law precedents on this subject.
-- I have no problem with your Trump kneepads but why vbase your case of an untruth? --
I can use ad hominems too, you ignorant prick. Look up the law and get back to me. You are an idiot. Actually, don't get back to me. Piss off.
Agreed. Write it up and post it!
Feel free to run it past me at least to act as editor, and I am sure fM would also be willing to offer constructive criticism before you post. Get to writing MNJ!!! Look forward to your thread.
A vote hasn’t been cast in the primary and Trump is already running the RNC. LOL.
And they both sound like my 92 year old Father who prays he lives long enough to vote for Trump.
At their age, they see through all the double speak and look for simple truths.
My father died a few days before Obama was elected. He had just watched one of the debates on his hospital TV. I’m glad he didn’t have to be around to see that travesty.
that NY values thing might help him in other states.
but it shows he will say anything, even pit state against state, to win.
people argue that’s not true. How is it not?
NY values aren’t Iowa’s values?
how about giving more to the fed than you get? that’s a new york value that a number of red states dont have.
point is it was a blanket statement and i liked him a LOT more before that one
interesting.
