Mark Levin has been trying to stay out of the conflict between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. He says he likes both men and has both on his show. But as Trump has escalated his birther attacks on Cruz, Levin has spent hours of airtime defending Cruz against these arguments...while studiously not mentioning who is making these arguments.
Well, it looks as though Levin has finally had enough, because ConservativeReview.com, of which he is editor in chief, has published a piece (that Levin has tweeted a link to) that exposes Donald Trump's political inconsistencies, point by point.
Entitled Trump's Questionable Political History, the article talks about how Trump met with illegal alien activists in 2013 and said he was "convinced" to support amnesty. The article also quotes Trump saying he wanted to "expedite" the return of illegal aliens into the country and notes a quote that Trump simply had no opinion either way on the "Gang of 8" amnesty bill that Marco Rubio is being so criticized for.
The article also cites how on September 8 of last year, Trump was for bringing in Syrian refugees, but he changed his mind on the 9th.
Here's what author Daniel Horowitz also wrote:
Conservatives need to know if Donald Trump is really the man who will put Americans first and demolish the "dummies" in Washington or if his lack of a coherent philosophy will lead him to reflexively parrot the very politically correct talking points he so vehemently assails and yet has so often adopted. Is Trump who we think he is on immigration or is he pragmatically trying to tap into a frustration to win the primary with a plan to revert to his original talking points

I really like Levin, but his Birther rants have become impossible to listen to. Maybe after the primaries are over.
Pray America wakes
I like Mark but he needs to be intellectually honest and declare himself for Cruz.
Levin is a conservative of the first order. Why would he not favor Cruz over Trump?
He didn’t pen it, it was penned by the CR editors... Which means it was an anonymous hit piece.
I’m a big Mark Levin fan but that crap is so weak. If you’re going to hit Trump, hit Trump. Maybe he won’t go on your show anymore, but hell! be honest!
It makes sense, but my argument is he should be intellectually honest and endorse Ted.
It’s not just your imagination. But I bet you know that already.
I didn't realize that, I was just too busy jumping up cheering too, when I saw that later!
“...but that crap is so weak”
Precisely what about any of this is inaccurate?
Time to to turn him off.
Trump will use every weapon at his disposal to win. Cruz, like McCain and Romney, like to portray themselves as being above the fray. They cannot utter the brutal tough language of the common man. Remember when Trump called Bergdhal a "dirty rotten traitor," who deserved to be shot? Trump has yet to train his guns on Hillary. I have no doubt that he has plenty of dirt on the Clintons based on his NY political connections. Trump will, like a Dem, fight to win at all costs. Forget decorum or the Marquess of Queensberry rules. It is war.
We are going to find out in about a month or so, if we still have a government of laws or not. The integrity of the FBI will be tested along with the DOJ. If the FBI recommends, as it should, that Hillary should be indicted, then Hillary is finished as a candidate even if the DOJ refuses to prosecute. If the FBI whitewashes the scandal, then we are witnessing the extent and depth of corruption in our system. It will be a sad day.
Levin is good guy and a warrior, but I came to the conclusion that if after seven years of Obama’s inept and destructive tenure as president, the country just isn’t hungry for a principled conservative leader.
At this point, it’s about “conservative enough.”
A lot of people on our side will not have the maturity and clarity to see this. Levin is one of them.
Yep. It's SOP.
Correction: One non establishment candidate - Trump. Cruz is an insider as much as Jeb or Rubio - he worked in the Bush administration and has been in DC for 3 years - therefore, he is NOT an outsider. He’s got some mighty nice monies from Wall Street too - I’d hardly call that non-establishment.
I think we are approaching the aphelion of our culture's deviation from reality.
Trump can bang the gong but he surely can't handle the aftermath.
It’s probably some of the on-line forces that bomb on-line polls for Trump following each debate...reminds me of the Ron Paul bots...
If Hillary and Trump weren’t coordinating Hillary would simply have the news media stop covering Trump giving him free publicity and force him to spend his own money.
As it is Trump is keeping Hillary and her legal problems out of the news.
We should start a list of all of the conservative warriors who have been excommunicated from the conservative movement and branded as "RINOs" by the Trumpettes for the sin of opposing Trump or not endorsing him. Just off the top of my head, I have:
Cruz
Carson
Scalia
Rush
Levin
Trey Gowdy
Jeff Sessions
James Dobson
Steve King
Phil Robertson
Bob Vander Plaats
So who am I missing? C'mon Trumpettes, what other conservative has been shown to be a RINO because they prefer someone other than Trump?
It’s well above my pay grade to know if there’s any coordination there...
“His dog died and he took a week off to morn”
Anyone that has known the love of a good dog should cut him some slack on that argument. My wife cried two days after our last dog died. She would understand.
Absolutely! Sad.
