A man working at an outpatient lab for Children's Medical Center of Plano was arrested Monday after allegations of inappropriate touching while drawing blood from three teenage girls.
Mohammad Ali, 45, of Plano is facing three counts of indecency with a child. He is being held at the Collin County Detention Center on $30,000 bond.
Plano Police spokesman David Tilley said investigators opened their case on Dec. 29 with allegations from one teenage girl and found two more possible victims. The concern is that there may be more girls out there, Tilley said.
"All three allege it was inappropriate touching outside their clothing," Tilley said, adding that Ali allegedly told one girl "he said he was massaging her to get the blood flowing."
The three incidents under investigation occurred in October, November and December. The girls are between 13 and 15 years old.
Ali began working as a phlebotomist at the lab located at 7601 Preston Road last March. Tilley said Children’s Medical Center has been cooperating with the police investigation.
Ali was initially placed on administrative leave from the hospital but has since been terminated.
"We are deeply disappointed and dismayed by this behavior," hospital spokesman Scott Summerall said. "The protection and well-being of our patients and their families is our No. 1 concern. These actions do not represent the mission and values of our organization and the many selfless professionals committed to providing quality care to the children of North Texas."
According to a probable cause affidavit, an employee initially questioned Ali about his behavior, and he denied doing anything wrong.
After the investigation began, according to the affidavit, a coworker found a handwritten piece of paper on Ali’s desk that listed a pornography website and the words "kitten addicted."

The first reported incident took place in October. For some reason, Ali was permitted to go on fondling little girls (including who knows how many who didn't report him) until December.
Is there some reason why the hospital kept him on the job, and working with little girls in the interim. Could it be that they were worried about jumping to conclusions with a particular demographic?

I used to work with a woman who lived in Saudi for a time. There a woman is not allowed in public without a male relative.
She told me that any woman out in public alone was subject to abuse and harrassment. Men would walk right up to any such woman and start touching her in all areas of her body.

I'm sure he told the truth. Touching little girls probably does get his blood flowing, almost as well as if it was little boys he was molesting. I wish a protective father had witnessed the molestation and gotten this predator's blood flowing too.
You mean nobody took the time to give him lessons about our cultural norms? Then not his fault. Those girls weren’t wearing burkas, so he couldn’t help himself.
