Still leading the pack, but not by as much as national polls suggest, Donald Trump has a 9 point lead in Virginia, 28-19% over Ted Cruz.
What is really interesting about Virginia is the fact that there are four candidates polling well into the double digits. While this would normally be great news for candidates coming in 3rd or 4th, usually unable to pass a percentage threshold, some of those delegates will be pilfered by the lower tier candidates, since there is no threshold at all.
Total bound delegates: 46 â 2.17%/delegate
Donald Trump: 13
Ted Cruz: 9
Ben Carson: 8
Marco Rubio: 7
Jeb Bush: 2
Carly Fiorina: 1
Rand Paul: 1
Chris Christie: 1

Hence why Virginia Republicans are doing their best to disenfranchise Trump voters. His support is probably much bigger than this poll suggests.
Is this new?
Virginia is one of the states that used the voting machine that Indiana’s SoS decertified. Ohio is another one
Trump’s supporters larger than the numbers suggest. You know Cavuto, who will moderate the debate on Thursday said the same thing earlier this week. He suggested that the size of the Trump rallies doesn’t match with some of the polling. He mentioned specifically the crowd in Massachisetts coming out in 25 degree weather to a Trump rally.
New poll released about 2 hours ago. polling Wed-Fri this week
Thanks for the ping.
Thanks! :)
Who are these guys at Overtime politics? I’ve never seen them before this election cycle. I find theor polls almost unblelievable because they are almost identical for Cruz and Trump in every single state. One would think there would be more variance, at least in Trump numbers to match his national totals of 35-40.
WOO HOO!! YES!
GO TRUMP!!
Agree. Much bigger.
There’s no weighting of this poll and they don’t give the breakdown to do one’s own weighting.
Not very useful IMHO. Better than nothing maybe.
New pollster. There is a variance. SC was Trump +20, TX Trump +4
CSPAN carried that GOP forum today and every caller on the Democrat line said they were voting for Trump. He is going to win and its going to be yuge.
TRUMP is my man
CRUZ has a plan
Together the two
will give US our due
MAKE AMERICA GREAT FOR GREAT AMERICANS!!
Dunno, but they are pretty much in line with PPP, which, this cycle, is the group I trust the most.
Tee hee.
