A new FoxNews poll shows GOP frontrunner Donald Trump edging Hillary Clinton in a general election match-up. A December poll from Fox showed Hillary ahead of Trump by 11 points. This latest poll, however, has Trump beating Clinton by 3 points, 47-44 percent.
Since early December, Trump has been engulfed in media controversies surrounding his proposal to temporarily ban Muslim immigrants and his rhetoric confronting Hillary about President Bill Clinton's salacious past and allegations of sexual misconduct with women. In that time, a potential general election match-up against Hillary has swung 14 points in Trump's favor.
At the beginning of summer, Hillary led Trump by 17 points in an earlier Fox poll. Hillary is plagued by two significant challenges. Voter approval of Barack Obama is only 42 percent, while 53 percent disapprove of his job performance. Obama's approval numbers are near the historic lows of his presidency.
Worse, however, are Obama's marks on a number of important issues. In fact, on every issue tested, whether improving health care or containing ISIS, a strong majority of voters believe Obama will be remembered more for his failures than successes.
Hillary's challenge isn't just Obama's unpopularity, however. She receives the lowest marks of any candidate running for president on being honest and trustworthy. Only 36 percent of voters believe Hillary is honest. A staggering 62 percent, almost two-thirds, say she is not trustworthy.
A candidate viewed as dishonest seeking to succeed an increasingly unpopular president itself presents a formidable challenge. The challenge is perhaps harder for Hillary, given the Clintons' long record with voters. Almost half of voters, 46 percent, say Bill Clinton's sex scandals have hurt Hillary's campaign. Only 29 percent of voters say the sex scandals won't make a difference in her campaign.

While 98% of the press felt 'rape was no big deal'....
A 14 percent shift? I’d call that a surge.
‘A December poll from Fox showed Hillary ahead of Trump by 11 points. This latest poll, however, has Trump beating Clinton by 3 points, 47-44 percent.’
It's dawning on the rats and the GOPe that Hillary could blow the election, handing the White House to the first anti-globalist since... I don't know when. If enough movers and shakers reach that conclusion before the Iowa caucus they could take her out and throw Biden into the ring. They'd prefer to blame Hillary's weakness and hold out the hope that someone else might beat him than come to terms with the sources of Trump's strength.
That's what Hillary is worrying about right now, if she hasn't gone senile.
With him beating her already, the rats will consider dumping her. Bernie? Biden? Kerry?
Kerry would have trouble — Art of the Deal is about diplomatic trade negotiations.
Biden has done nothing to help our border situation. Same with Bernie Sanders.
Sanders, the socialist? Good luck with that.
Biden could be painted as a maniac with all of his gaffes. Trump would destroy him.
But first the rats will wait to see Hillary’s next ‘brilliant’ move.
Later! I like to play with things a while... before annihalation!

Hope you don’t mind a multi-thread response. I use Digging Deep for referencing.
‘Im really getting a sense they are going to take her out with an indictment..call me crazy.’
Right. First they privately urge her to quit the campaign and endorse someone. Then they pressure her. Then they leak damaging information as added pressure — an unspoken form of blackmail.
She’s a stinking corpse politically, not just because of Trump’s campaign but also her non-Bill scandals and ‘Does it really matter?’ crack about Bengahzi. Those two prongs are politically lethal.
Bernie’s their best shot this late in the game...
‘Ted Cruz is beating Hillary Clinton by 7% in the same poll.’
The thing is this, though — who weakened her? Trump or Cruz?
Trump is the Golden Goose here. The moment you dump him is the moment that democrats regain their image of respectability.
He’s steamrolling Hillary. She is, however, target-rich. Democrats have an easier time with lesser-known candidates [creeps not yet researched enough]. So, looking at this comprehensively, there is a lot to take in.
Trump could go after Biden’s gaffes.
Not sure how Trump would handle Sanders or Kerry.
Kerry is vulnerable to foreign affairs. Art of the Deal would ‘Trump’ him.
Bernie Sanders steps in. Trump is very pragmatic and might have trouble out-campaigning him. Might get lost in the detail-trees if his conservatism isn’t strong enough.
Kerry — vulnerable in foreign affairs v Art of the Deal.
Biden — Trump would LOVE to campaign against him.
“Stuff just doesn’t happen like this, this quick.”
I’m not so sure. I think there’s a large amount of fickleness in the electorate this year. Even the Democrats know Hillary is a liar and untrustworthy and aren’t very keen about her, and there’s still a lot of people who are not sure about Trump, so alarming news events can cause big poll swings.
I believe the Muslim trying to assassinate the Philadelphia cop is going to have an impact on the polls, though I’m not sure this particular poll was taken after that event. Nonetheless, one or two more of these Muslim terrorist events virtually guarantees Trump will be elected. Not only is Hillary not trusted, but she’s got Obama, his policies, his lies, and his increasingly delusional rhetoric wrapped around her like a boat anchor.
And it’s only going to get worse for her, because we ain’t seen nuttin yet from Obama: he’s going to do his best to take this country down with him during the next year with a scorched Earth policy that’s going to make Sherman’s march to the sea look like a cakewalk.
“Hillary volunteer are busy with phone banking. They are getting nasty response from otherside.”
Interesting information. I would be interested if you care to elaborate. For example, have you talked with any of Hillary phone bankers?
You have to understand that the left, along with the media, haven't really attempted to identify Cruz. Trump has been battered with no real affect. You may think that the more the general public is exposed to Cruz the more they will like him but it just isn't true because the dynamics of the country have changed.
I know... I know, you you refuse to believe me, but it's true. Cruz's religious, social conservatism, once fully known, will doom him in the general election. Everybody knows Trump. The media can't lay a glove on him.
“Goldberg refuses to believe anyone could be stupid enough to vote for Trump.”
Hey! I resemble that remark! I’M more than stupid enough to vote for Trump, so Goldberg is simply, wrong, wrong, wrong!
“Cruz, who I like, has zero ability to get cross-over votes. He would stand no chance at beating Clinton. For what itâs worth, thatâs my opinion.”
As much as I like Cruz, I have to agree: zero cross-over appeal. And worse, the KorruptKommie media would shred Cruz like a log run an excelsior maker, painting him as an extremely extreme conservative extremist so near to being a fascist, he’s actually a fascist.
AND, we’ve already seen that Cruz refuses to get his hands dirty when attacked unfairly given his recent refusal to refute Hillary’s “Republican war on women” meme by hammering her with her own personal record on the issue.
It too is my opinion that Cruz has little chance of being elected President, even against the corrupt, lying Hillary.
“While 98% of the press felt ‘rape was no big deal’.... “
And 100% of Whoopie Goldberg thought it wasn’t really “rape rape”.
“Later! I like to play with things a while... before annihilation!”
