1. You call yourself an "ardent philanthropist," but have not donated a dollar to The Donald J. Trump Foundation since 2006. You're not even the biggest donor to the foundation, having given about $3.7 million in the previous two decades while businesses associated with Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Entertainment gave the Trump Foundation $5 million. All the money since 2006 has come from those doing business with you.
5. The biggest gift you have talked about appears to be an easement at the Palos Verdes, California, golf course bearing your name on land you wanted to build houses on, but that land is subject to landslides and is now the golf course driving range.
Did you or one of your businesses take a tax deduction for this land that you could not build on and do you think anyone should get a $25 million tax deduction for a similar self-serving gift?
6. Trump Tower is not a steel girder high rise, but 58 stories of concrete.
Why did you use concrete instead of traditional steel girders?
7. Trump Tower was built by S&A Concrete, whose owners were "Fat" Tony Salerno, head of the Genovese crime family, and Paul "Big Paul" Castellano, head of the Gambinos, another well-known crime family.
If you did not know of their ownership, what does that tell voters about your management skills?

I believe Merriam-Webster is on line.
That is ridiculous. The only mob workin’ the US, is elected- and in every last DC pocket.
Your locals are your choice- right?
The 21 Questions, as in the title and subject of the thread.
Is this moving too fast for you?
Is Trump's "charitable" foundation a kick-back scheme?
All the money since 2006 has come from those doing business with you.How does giving away other people's money, in what could be seen as a kickback scheme, make you a philanthropist?
Exactly. With his HUUGE business conglomerate, this is what they come up with? He built a concrete building? He gave Polish immigrants a job without a hard hat? Oh the horror.
So, the violations of law in hiring 150 illegals and using mob connections to help skirt the myriad of laws surrounding the building of a premier property in his portfolio are all too trivial about which to be concerned.
Kinda like clinton lying to the Grand jury. Sure, it’s a felony, but it was justified: it was all about sex. Everyone lies about sex.
So, with trump, sure it’s a felony to conspire with the mob to violate all sorts of laws, but it was all about saving and making money. Everyone commits felonies to get buildings built.
1. Felonies? Where are the indictments?
2. Trump wasn’t POTUS, duh.
Violations of some of these laws are felonies. As an example, permitting the illegal Polish immigrants to live on the job site could easily be construed as violating laws immigration laws against against harbouring illegals, and the entire building enterprise could be construed as establishing an enterprise to violate immigration laws, which is a felony.
Whether a prosecutor would bring charges against a builder with political connections and politicians in his pocket seems like a stretch to me. As clinton reasoned regarding the “persecution” by Ken Starr.
So his “excuse” is he wasn’t president at the time? Okay. You want to elect as president someone who probably committed felonies. I prefer non-felons for my presidents.
Maybe its a good thing—If Trump can deal with “Fat Tony” and “Big Paul” Putin will be a piece of cake. Trump is a New Yorker and as such he must have had dealings with “Da Guys” —a better question should be does the Mafia support Trump?
a better question should be does the Mafia support Trump?
I sometimes wonder if the Mafia wouldn’t be a better choice then the corruption we have in Washington now. At least they spread the wealth.
Same thing as hiring illegals for any work. They often are crowded into apartments, while their employers take the extra $$.
The ChiComs bring their own people to build and work in their enclaves. No Anglos need apply. It’s practically extra-territorial, like capitulations in the old Arab world.
It took 20 years of appeals to just get rid of it. And then Trump settled and the records were sealed.
Has Hillary ever been indicted for anything? I guess she has never committed a crime or done anything unethical.
Has Bill Clinton ever been indicted for rape? I guess he didn't rape Juanita Broderick and her case isn't worth pursuing.
LOL. Just 150, mostly illegal, Polish immigrants. Some slept on site. They worked without hard hats. He paid them $5/hr without benefits.
And Trump is opposed to illegal immigration.
And he's all for the little guy.
You can trust him. He's not like the others.
I think your first statement is inaccurate. The second one I don’t understand the question.
Being investigated but not indicted nor convicted also happens to those who are not guilty of the allegations. Just because the system doesn't always work perfectly, doesn't mean it didn't work in this situation. Under the standard you seem to be applying, how would Trump clear his name from these allegations?
......so you can bet if heâs âdirtyâ it will be an issue in the election.
It would be almost impossible to be a major player in the NYC building trades in the 1980s and not have contact with alleged mobsters. The mob dominated the cement industry, trucking, and all the trade unions. This is before the RICO prosecutions gutted the mob. Has anyone with real credibility accused Trump of being mobbed-up? John Zaccaro, the husband of Geraldine Ferraro, had more serious allegations of mob ties and it had little or no effect on the 1984 election. I am sure this issue will be raised and I'm Trump will slap it down with little or no problem, in all likelihood, with Mr. Mob-Buster himself, Rudy Giuliani at his side.
Trumps already refereed to such...though of course not by name....as well as saying heâs used so called âloopholesâ to obtain what heâs wanted as well as other means used for leverage.
"Loopholes" can mean lots of things other than mob involvement. It is this type of inference that the Trump supporter, rightfully, balk at.
I don't know why it took that long to settle the case but delays in a case can be created by either party. Was Trump responsible for the delay in the settlement? Possibly but it could have been the plaintiff holding out for a home run settlement from the billionaire defendant. A settlement requires the agreement of both parties and approval by the court. Sealing the records is SOP in most civil lawsuits. Businesses are concerned the trial evidence may contain proprietary information and other information which can be used by muckrakers. The attorneys are concerned that future trial opponents may be able to anticipate trial strategies. There are legitimate reasons for the court records to be sealed, other than hiding embarrassing information.
Has Hillary ever been indicted for anything? I guess she has never committed a crime or done anything unethical.
Not yet but there are on-going investigations. I can express my opinion that she's committed crimes but it is nothing more than an opinion until she is prosecuted. You know that not all unethical acts are crimes, right? Totally a non sequitur - lots of unethical people haven't necessarily committed crimes and thus, wouldn't be indicted.
Has Bill Clinton ever been indicted for rape? I guess he didn't rape Juanita Broderick and her case isn't worth pursuing.
Has any of Clinton's victims ever filed charges?
The Clinton situations are different than the Trump allegations in significant ways. The allegations against the Clintons came from numerous sources, not just one journalist with an apparent personal vendetta. The evidence against the Clintons is better documented. Finally, there is no indication that Trump had government agencies running interference during the investigation.
yawn.
Iif this is such a big issue, why hasn’t it hit the news? Are you saying Trump personally hired these people and oversaw their work conditions?
And I don’t have a problem with a few illegal hard-working Christian immigrants. Now show me Trump was hiring Mexican illegals and that’s another story.
If he didn't notice that 9/10 of the crew was speaking Polish and not wearing hard hats, someone on his management team should have.
Trump failed to do due diligence by failing to do even a cursory walk-through of the construction site, or by failing to make sure that his managers didn't hire 150 illegal immigrant workers.
I guess he didn't lay down the law to his managers over hiring illegals.
Or more likely, he winked at it.
According to the judge, "The immigrants were easy to spot. They were the ones not wearing hard hats."
Trump claims to be a great manager and delegator.
Yet he failed as a manager on several levels.
And despite 20 years of appeals, he had to settle.

And another thing. What about his supposed "charitable" foundation that he hasn't contributed to since 2006, and which has only received contributions from companies Trump has done business with?
It sure looks like a kickback scheme or a money laundering operation.
Does he know what's going on in his foundation? Or can he wash his hands of that, too?
