Looks like Cruz’s momentum has been stopped over his admendment
of a path to legalization in the 2013 Gang of 8 Amnesty bill.

I believe Cruz when he says it was a poison pill admendment.
However, it appears a lot of people don’t believe it based on
Cruz’s static poll numbers.

I agree, with the slight caveat that it’s not so much that people believe Ted, but rather it illustrates again just how stupid Washington is. In what demented universe does one sponsor an amendment to allow legalization of illegals as a way of prohibiting a pathway to citizenship for them? Ted’s achilles heel has always been that he is a senator in a year when people hate elected officials. Plus, he is being funded by Super PACs and thus can be controlled. In a normal year, Ted is an A+ candidate. Next to Trump, he is just the least worst option of the elected officials.

This topic has been thoroughly discussed for months on Free Republic. It’s a valid, statistical poll just conducted online. Reference Morning Consult’s excellent work on Trump’s numbers via the various polling methods..Sorry Ted’s not doing well in this poll.

I will have to admit that there are many who will vote for Trump in the ballot box yet not show their support openly.

I am an open Trump supporter (even have a red Trump hat), but I know plenty who prefer to keep their support a secret.

All that matters is that they vote for Trump.
