Sessions: Omnibus Explains Why 'Voters Are In Open Rebellion' (Must See Video)
You Tube ^ | 12/16/15 | Senator Sessions

Posted on 12/16/2015 7:29:35 PM PST by Amntn

Published on Dec 16, 2015
BACKGROUND:

In the dead of night after 2am this morning, Congressional leadership unveiled a more than 2,000 page 'omnibus' year-end funding bill which would, among other things: fully-fund the President's refugee expansion; fully-fund sanctuary cities; fully-fund the resettlement of illegal aliens youth and their families crossing the border; lock-in tax credits for illegal aliens; and quadruple the highly controversial H-2B foreign worker visa being used to replace Americans as truck drivers, construction workers, theme park employees, and in blue collar jobs across the nation.

Sessions, the Chairman of the Immigration Subcommittee, issued a statement about the bill as it speeds to a vote before it can be read, observing in part that GOP voters: "have come to believe that their party's elites are not only uninterested in defending their interests but - as with this legislation, and fast-tracking the President's international trade pact - openly hostile to them." On the floor today, Sessions further reminded his colleagues that their duty is the American people - not special interests, immigration advocacy groups, or lobbyists for narrow business concerns.

Sessions observed that - as the omnibus paves the way for a huge immigration increase beyond today's record-breaking highs - that more than 8 in 10 American voters want the level of immigration in American frozen or cut, and yet the GOP-led Congress is about to surge it even higher.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau - even without these increases - immigration will add the population equivalent of 1 new Los Angeles to the country each 3 years.

The U.S. has admitted 59 million immigrants since 1965. As historical context, after the numerically-smaller 1880-1920 immigration wave, future immigration was reduced to promote wage growth for US-born and immigrant workers: there was zero net growth in the foreign-born population over the course of the next half-century (in fact, it declined markedly). Now, after five decades of unprecedented immigration, the U.S. is on path to add another five decades of unprecedented immigration on top of that - setting new all-time records every single decade to come.

Nope. Action and consequence. Liberals demanded we elect them no matter what and got the liberalism they were promised from the liberals they knowingly elected.

They did campaign on working with Obama after all.

Folks, if people wanted conservatism, they would vote for conservatives. There is no ‘against the Democrat” check box on a ballot. You vote FOR. And people voted FOR those that campaigned on liberalism after displaying YEARS of liberal actions.

Man up folks. ‘WE” collectively did this to ourselves. Vote like men next time instead of gutless cowards.

How so? They campaigned on working with Obama. They sided with Dems to get Thad Cockroach elected. They have been very up front about becoming one with the DNC.

There is NOTHING back room/cover of darkness about any of this. Thats an excuse people make to justify their vote for liberals.

Don’t feel bad, Joe. Paul Ryan had a most of us fooled, me included — probably because his shift to the Dark Side is recent.

Liz:

In a rare bipartisan compromise on illegal immigration, the next federal budget will provide nearly $1 billion in funding for Mexico and Central America to help stop the flow of undocumented migrants to the United States, U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar announced Wednesday. Cuellar, a Laredo Democrat, said he worked closely with Republican U.S. Rep. Kay Granger of Fort Worth in securing the $897 million for the region an increase of almost $200 million for Central America alone.

The only REAL way the Republicans can stop Obama is to stop paying for his government.

However, the Republicans are deathly afraid of doing so because they allowed the Obama and his support team, known as the media, to frame the issues as the Republicans “Shutting down the government” which hurts average Americans.

This was really the one of two weapons they had and when they used it, the Left made up a narrative proving Congress to be the bad guy rather than Obama.

The other weapon they have but did not use—I just don’t understand—was to pass spending bills severely limiting CERTAIN spending, and challenge Obama to veto them.

This would cause at lot more work on Congress’s part, because they’d have to pass and complete bills for each department/government program, but it would put the ball clearly in Obama’s court.

So they’ve simply given up.

They will wait until after the elections to force a showdown, when, in their eyes, it doesn’t matter if the big old meanies in the media make them look bad again.

Of course, they could knuckle down and fight, but that would be an effort.

They don’t call ‘em the Stupid Party for nothing’!!!! Throw in “Lazy”, too!

I remember hearing a politician once (I don't remember his name) saying "Well...it's not like their coming in and taking our skilled jobs and such, their only taking jobs like auto mechanic and construction jobs...so it's ok"....

I suppose to the stinking politician, the only skilled job left in America is LAWYER....

If a publicly traded company did this to their shareholders, the CEO, CFO, etc. would all be in jail.

This is traitorous and they should also be in jail.

Is there supposed to be some sort of strategy here? DO they think that by giving Obama and the Democrats everything they want, they are pulling off some sort of “let the Democrats own the disaster” long con?

They may be both weak and complicit. A bad combination. They are part of the entrenched political class that exists to further their own power. And they wonder what Trump's appeal is.

I feel sorry for the young people in tbis country. What a future were leaving to them.

It's not a future, it's a disaster.

Sad part is most of them have been indoctrinated to the point that they actually trust anything the government tells them.

Good luck with all that.

It is well past time to destroy the republican party and start over.

This also postponed the effect on unions of Obamacare for two more years.

It is time to face the fact that the republicans want this as much as the democrats.

They aren’t fighting them. They are fighting US.

Yes, and I don't think it can be fixed at the ballot box.
