Why would you even need a poll, when the other candidates can't fill the activity room at an old folks home?

‘WOW that’s going to change some real clear politics number averages’

It may. But bear two things in mind. RCP doesn’t average all polls, only certain RCP-approved polls. Also, they have been caught red handed keeping older polls in the average that favor Obama, while dropping newer polls less favorable to him. HuffPo, believe it or not, is more objective in their polling averages.

National polls tend to deceive the ignorant and naive.

Because of our electoral college system we have no strictly national election. We have fifty statewide elections, more or less.

Preceded by fifty primary or caucus elections.

Didn’t we get that last time when we all thought Romney was going to win?

Newsie and Cruzers who echo their talk say Trump’s ceiling is at a certain percentage and no higher that it won’t go up further than that. Wishful thinking. It’s more like that Cruz has the low ceiling. Cruz is a young man whose time is not now. It maybe 10 or 20 years from now, but the country has to change some more before he can become president. The R voters seemed to recognize this. Trump can move the country to the right. Trump is the specialist that’s needed.

The media really wants Trump to get the nomination because they know he’s such a loony that he could never win the general election. About 1/3rd of GOP primary voters are Dems, and they support him by large margins because they’re making a statement, he has very few GOP positions, and they also know that he could never do the things he promises. So they’re okay (even though he said US workers are paid “too much”). However, they will vote Dem, either for Bernie or for Hillary, in the general election.

And Trump is so unpopular with actual Republicans that when you subtract the Dems, the GOP would have a disastrous loss with him.

I hate to say it, but that Trumpmania video looks totally bogus. Maybe it’s supposed to be funny?

I think the Monmouth poll of December 7 was the first to show Cruz leading in Iowa:

Poll: Cruz surges ahead of Trump and Carson in Iowa

So, what's reliable and what's inaccurate?

No disrespect intended toward Trump, but he isn’t behaving like a person who has a 3 to 1 lead over his next closest competitor.

Because acting like "I'm #1, why try harder?" is the best way to lose ANY competition.
