Yet, despite the impression that President Obama has been creating, France suffered more casualties (murders and injuries) from mass public shootings in 2015 than the US has suffered during Obama’s entire presidency (Updated 524 to 428). Note that these numbers don't adjust for the fact that the US has 4.9 times the population of France. The per capita rate of casualties in France is thus 7.95 per million and for the US it is 1.34 -- France's per capita rate of casualties is thus 5.93 times higher than the rate in the US.

No surprises as France has several more million Muslims than does the USA.
The statistic only gives more validity to Trump’s proposal to stop Muslims coming to the USA.
However if you count the black on black crime statistics from Chicago ALONE since Obama in office. The Chicago numbers are in the thousands. Media doesn’t carry it nor does Rahm care.
Rahm gets those fake tears and broken voice going when they’re coming after him, though.

The case with France is just straight numbers. As a percent of the population it is even worse. If you look at mass shooting casualties as a percentage of population, many European countries are worse than the USA.

To me, it is very simply that France has attracted more fundamental Islamists than we have. That is changing as we open the floodgates to Syrians. They will aid and assist the jihadis we already have.

“Casualties” is a misleading term, as it groups those killed with those wounded. (Necessary in wartime statistics, which removes fighting men from the battlefield). It could be deduced that US shootings kill “principals” more readily, or that French shooters are less accurate in “mass public shootings”.
