I agents on Saturday raided a Riverside home belonging to a friend of San Bernardino shooter Syed Rizwan Farook as they try to determine whether the man purchased two of the semiautomatic rifles used in the massacre, according to a law enforcement source.
The source, who asked to remain anonymous because the case is ongoing, said officials have been trying to talk to man to see what he knows about the attack. It's far from clear whether the man had anything to do with the violence or even knew what Farook did with the guns, the source added. A second source said the guns were purchased three years ago.
The search warrant was served at the home on Tomlinson Avenue, according FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said. She did not have a specific address.
"The warrant has been sealed by the court and I am prohibited from commenting further," she said.
Victor Venegas, who lives in the neighborhood, said law enforcement showed up at a home in the 3800 block of Tomlinson Avenue early Saturday and stayed for a few hours.
He and other neighbors have said Enrique Marquez, Jr., a young man who lived at the home, and Farook appeared to be good friends. The source said Marquez is the person the FBI is seeking to interview.
Farook, his parents and siblings lived on Tomlinson for several years before moving out a few months ago. Marquez lived next door.
While Farook generally kept to himself, the one exception was his friendship with Marquez, who like him, loved to tinker with cars, neighbors said.

Enrique Marquez. Yup, sounds middle eastern to me. Hey, wait a minute.
Shooter kept to himself..yet ME men came and went a lot at all kinds of hours.
Meanwhile, FBI refused to dust for fingerprints at Shooter’s home. I am waiting on someone to ask the FBI -ON WHOSE ORDER?
Ohhhhh,,, so they weren’t legally obtained. They were a straw purchase.

Or a man who self-identifies as a lesbian woman who self-identifies as a gay man.
By not doing so, the LA Times and the FBI are both guilty of numerous microagressions.
Well “Ernie” bought them legally. Maybe. If Cali only had a requirement for private sales background checks.........oh.
Tune in tomorrow for the TV tour of his house.
DOJ?
Waterboarding would be useful, but it might lead to an Obama connection.

If he transferred them to Farook it HAD to be through a California FFL. Anything else was a felony. And that means the dune coon didn’t buy his guns legally after all.
Shooter #3? Forensics should clear it up. Straw purchase? Maybe?
“Maybe. If Cali only had a requirement for private sales background checks.........oh.”
Its like the terrorists didn’t follow ANY of our laws or something.
For what legitimate reason would anyone have a friend buy a weapon for them?
important take away......”. A second source said the guns were purchased three years ago.”
Soooo were the guns purchased all at once? I know many gun owners very few buy many at a time. Did he have Marquez buy them to cover an middle eastern guy buying up a bunch of guns? 3 years ago??? That would show sleeper teams.
So we outlaw straw?
They had a picture of where the guns were purchased a day or 2 ago.
