To avoid detection. That would be my guess.
Or maybe they couldn’t buy them legally. Either way it implies deception and a very good likelihood that they were breaking the law.
You might buy guns from someone who already owned them and no longer wanted them. Did this guy buy them for Farook, or just sell his friend a couple of his guns?
Because they don’t want a record that they own the gun when 0vomit and the Feds start rounding up guns and gun owners.
