Politico has rewritten the headline, lede, and several portions of the text of an article accusing Ben Carson of "fabricating" part of his personal biography involving the Military Academy at West Point.
The story, bearing the byline of reporter Kyle Cheney, now omits the original version's declarations that Carson's statements were false or fraudulent, as seen in an archive of the article.

These political noos-hacks should have their lying licenses pulled.
that’ll show em.
The original was all over radio top news stories. I don’t think I ever heard a website news story so widely reported.
How many of those major networks are going to even mention this now?
Despite the fact that I am uncomfortable posting to a severe TDS sufferer, I will mention that Politico is one of the most slavish Propaganda Ministry outlets.
ditto on TRUMP... disgusting to repeat lies of the media...
There is a new story about Carson allegedly protecting white students from a black mob the day after the Luther King assassination. The Wall Street Journal has been unable to find anyone who remembers that happening http://www.wsj.com/articles/ben-carsons-past-faces-deeper-questions-1446861864?mod=trending_now_1
Yes I noticed Trump also jump the shark with his snarky remarks. He’s not my number one choice anyway, Cruz is.
GO CRUZ GO!+
That’s thinking like a chess player ...
“If he apologies, not only will it show real character, it will allow him to publicize the lie perpetrated by the Left.”
Right. In chess, that’s known as a ‘fork’ — a double threat with a single move.
When we don’t throw members of the team under the bus, we begin to control the center of the chess board.
[Known in chess as ‘center control’.]
And any good strategist wants that until the hammer falls.
Currently, Trump might still be a member of the team. If his apology helps the greater good, then he certainly is regardless of flaws.
But if he proves to be a jackass, Trump’s public words become worthless to both sides.
