The 2016 GOP presidential campaigns agreed on Sunday evening to cut the Republican National Committee (RNC) out of the debate negotiation process and instead deal directly with networks moderating debates, Breitbart News has learned.
Corey Lewandowski, the campaign manager for frontrunner Donald Trump, confirmed to Breitbart News via phone on Sunday that the “biggest consensus†of five separate points the GOP campaigns agreed on was cutting the RNC out of the negotiations with the networks, as the campaigns would each like to negotiate with the networks directly.
In response to the revelation that the RNC will be cut out of the process, RNC chief spokesman Sean Spicer—the party’s point man on handling debates until now—said the RNC stands ready to help the candidates in any way they can.

But..but...if you cut the RNC out of the debate process, how can they ensure that lefty moderators get positioned to belittle and trap those awful conservatives? How oh how will Jeb!, Rubberio and Mr. Mailman’s Son get the nomination now?

The Republican candidates not allowing the media cartel to determine the agenda. Gingrich and Cain did it once last time, and it was great, but it did not catch on that cycle.
This needs to be the tone for debates negotiated in the forseeable future.
Now negotiate how much of the money the networks get is proportioned to the various campaigns...
If the nomination process has devolved to the candidates and fundraising has devolved to PACs, what role does the RNC have?
I guess they still hold the Republican Convention, but what’s to stop the candidates from taking that over, too, and run it over Facebook, per Ben Carson’s suggestion?

Appears that Dr. Carson doesn’t really want to “debate”— he wants to give prepared remarks, and limited ones at that.
The RNC are the enemy within. With Jeb all but kaput they are now actively seeking to scorch the earth and must be excluded from finding their own nominee, just as Jeb sought to exclude the base.
It sounds insane to say the GOPe would be more comfortable with Hillary winning but what else can be concluded?
