A federal judge has ordered Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal to restore state payments to Planned Parenthood, making Louisiana the second state blocked from defunding the group.
U.S. District Judge John deGravelles ruled Thursday that Jindal couldn't cancel the stateâs Medicaid contract with Planned Parenthood over allegations the group is facing related to its fetal tissue donation program, according to The Associated Press.
Planned Parenthood clinics in Louisiana do not perform abortions and do not accept fetal tissue donations.
DeGravelles, who was appointed by President Obama last year, had previously delivered a temporary ruling in favor of Planned Parenthood. Jindal, who is running for president, has promised to continue fighting in court.
One day earlier, Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley (R) received a similar ruling from a federal judge who also rejected his argument for canceling the groupâs Medicaid contract, which was also based on the fetal tissue donation controversy.
The Obama administration had previously warned states like Alabama and Louisiana that cutting off Medicaid contracts was likely against the law. Planned Parenthood launched lawsuits in those states shortly after.

Stupid Jindal. Doesn't he realize that the states are mere provinces of the Federal Empire?

Someone explain to me where it says in the Constitution that the Federal Government has the right to tell the states where they will spend their money.

If I were Nindal I’d make that stand. I’d tell the judge to shove it this is a state matter and dare him to find me in contempt
To: Tolerance Sucks Rocks
The response should be to ignore the judge.

Yes. The Obama-ites use that tactic with the stuff they dont want to honor.
Eric Holder told his people to only follow the laws they felt like following.
So there is precedence for such action.

Jindahl could Rocket in the poles if he made this move against the judge... And stand for babies. This seems like a no-brainer to me

This would be interesting to see. It might help his campaign. Imagine a federal judge trying to have federal Marshalls try and arrest him for contempt, and his own state police blocking that?

Since when does a judge have the authority to make a state Govenor direct tax payer funds to a PRIVATE company!? The only body in Louisiana which has ANY ability to direct public funds to Planned Parenthood is the state legislature, and the judge has zero ability to replace the legislature's directives with his own. No money allocated to it, no payment, no discussion.

This is why I fear that electing a conservative Congress and President will do no good.
The judiciary is out of control.

Impeach, convict, indict, try, convict, and sentence the judge.
