How Nelson Mandela Would Approach the Problem of Gun Violence in America
huffingtonpost.com ^ | 10/27/2015 | Mike Weisser (Mike the gun guy!)

I am hopeful that everyone who comes to the meeting, including myself, will leave with a renewed sense of optimism about the daunting task that lies ahead. But I'm also hopeful about something else, which is that we will all not just learn better ways enlist more people in the crusade against gun violence, but better ways to talk about gun violence to folks who own guns. If Nelson Mandela were alive, he would say that the problem of gun violence can only be resolved by bringing everyone to the table who has a stake in the game. We need to invite the other side to join us in the discussion; if they refuse, we need to invite them again and again. That would exemplify the true spirit of Nelson Mandela and underscore what Washington's National Cathedral is really all about.

My opinion of Mandela is not very high. Thanks to him SA is rapidly turning from a promising, civilized country into a typical, third world pesthole.

It’s starting to get hysterical among the antigun crowd.

Google phrases like “people shouldn’t have guns” or “confiscation is the only solution” or “gun owners are mentally unstable” or “reeducate the children to hate guns/owners”.

The hits will be highly entertaining & would be scary except none of these gungrabbers are ready to go door-to-door.

As for Mandela, he was a tribal terrorist with blood on his hands who was lionized by the Left. Just like Che Guevara.

If you haven’t read that yet, you should. It’s a hoot and a half and it gives some dang good methods to shut down and shut up the thumb-sucking SJW filth when confronted by them.

If it was Mandela, he’d place a tire around your neck filled with gas and light it on fire if you did not comply.

Mike “The Gun Guy” Weisser writes for huffingtonpost.com. As you might expect from someone who pens for a publication that never met a Mom Demanding Action for Gun Sense in America that it didn’t like, a website that wants all Americans to live in Everytown for Gun Safety, a media outlet that never ceases Brady Campaigning to Stop Gun Violence, Weisser isn’t what you’d call firm on gun rights.

Alas, Mike knows exactly who’s reading his stuff. Like so many “I believe in the Second Amendment but…” types, Weisser wants it both ways. He wants HuffPo huzzahs and “gun guy” street cred. Not even Karl Wallenda could manage that high wire act – if only because the wire doesn’t exist. Either you’re for gun rights or your not. Mike’s not.

Don’t give a crap what Nelson Mendela would or wouldn’t do, don’t need advice from a commie Greek ex-Patriate and we don’t need any damn gun control. We criminal control, nut job control and politician control.

Nelson was a Communist. Communist regimes are well-known democidal maniacs who have murdered hundreds of millions of their own citizens, the first step of which was always to disarm those citizens.

I'm surprised no one else posted this, but...

"Who Freekin Cares What Mandela Would DO!!!!"

We don't care what Australia, or England or Canada, or any other person, place, or thing would do. They aren't us. And I don't understand anyone who would hold him up as a paragon of virtue, truth, justice, or the American Way. As has been pointed out by others, just look at the mess he left SA in.

Let me guess, he’d hang gasoline filled tires around the necks of 2nd Amendment supporters and light them on fire???

Another communist to approach the problem of gun violence in America? Like every other communist would approach it.

See, I don’t need to read Mike the guy’s article to guess it.

Mike Weisser

Administrator at National Medical Conference on Gun Violence
Ware, Massachusetts

Rabidly anti-gun ‘Mike the Gun Guy’

, “Mike the Gun Guy,” his gun business in Ware, Massachusetts notwithstanding, would be a comfortable fit among the leadership of any of the most virulently anti-gun groups in the country, as can be seen in any quick perusal of his writings at Huff Po, which disseminate forcible citizen disarmament talking points that would make Michael Bloomberg, Josh Horwitz, Sarah Brady and the rest proud

“I’m beginning to wonder whether we have any idea about what’s at stake when we give civilians the right to walk around with a gun.”

Oh—and about Weisser’s enthusiasm for “Evolve.” The group describes itself as a “third choice in the gun debate,” and appears to hope to fill a longstanding (but never before recognized) need for common ground to unite those openly opposed to private gun ownership, and those who prefer to claim to support it, but only when it is burdened with oppressive regulation.

why anyone who values gun rights should patronize and thus support a so-called “gun guy” (and deadbeat?) who has dedicated himself to undermining those rights.

***If Nelson Mandela were alive, he would say that the problem of gun violence can only be resolved by bringing everyone to the table who has a stake in the game.***

OK, I’ll play. We go to the negotiating table. I will give up semi-auto rifles and handguns. What will the anti-gun goons give up? NOTHING! They have NOTHING to give up.

So remember, YOU have the guns, THEY have NOTHING to negotiate with.
