Wishful thinking.
Sure thing Ed. Just keep telling yourself that.
Ed shouldn’t drink so much before a deadline.
Ed has Rove’s cell phone number.
Mr Rodgers should leave politics to the sane.
Please tell me who your drug dealer is, so I don’t buy the same crap he sells you...
Sure they are, if you have your Cheap Labor Express blinders on...................
Just Big Ed trolling for a paying gig dishing out bad advice to stupid candidates.
How about an article about how totally disconnected political writers have been from reality?
How the opposite of what they predicted has been consistently happening?
About how these writers, the republican party, and media are all at odds with the electorate?
Body odor?
He’s only correct on Rubio. Unless Iowa gets completely behind Bush, he’s going to slowly sink to oblivion and Kasich is never going to go anywhere. Rubio will be invested in, because he is considered the future.
This guy is also cuckoo for cocoa puffs as well
Those same insiders were selling the same tripe in 2008 with McCain and 2012 with Romney.
They are still trying to convince themselves that their ‘moderate’ Republican can win.
PING
What part of “We hate you” do these people not understand?
The author is smoking DMT a bit too much.
Rogers, you are not taking into account that not only is Trump a different candidate, you consider the electorate the same which it is not. The typical republican voter now is totally and completely pizzed off at the party and is damn well ready for a change.
Gist: unless the Republican Party has totally changed, I don’t see a non-establishment candidate getting nominated.
Exhibit A - Eric Cantor
Exhibit B - John Boehner
Exhibit C - Jeb Bush (and no matter what the author says, he’s on life support)
Exhibit D - Kevin McCarthy
The problem with this whole analysis is that it’s dependent on the qualifier “assuming no changes ...”
The Party has changed. The Revolution is in full swing.
Sleep well...
“Ed Rogers is a contributor to the PostPartisan blog, a political consultant and a veteran of the White House and several national campaigns. He is the chairman of the lobbying and communications firm BGR Group, which he founded with former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour in 1991.”
This is all you have to know, to understand that this is just more GoPee BS. I used the Port-a-Potty at the racetrack yesterday and noticed “A Haley Barbour” floating there!
