Former mayor Rudy Giuliani was a hero with two associates Thursday, when they saved a man from a dramatic FDR Drive car wreck. Emergency responders, and Giuliani’s worried wife, at first thought Giuliani was in the crash.
“There was an accident this morning people thought I was involved in,” Giuliani told Page Six Thursday.
He and colleagues Sal DeSalvo and Marc Mukasey were headed north on the Drive from Newark Airport at 8:45 a.m. when “Marc was half-sleeping . . . We took the red-eye [from California]. I was half-sleeping. Sal was driving. He was wide awake when we heard a big noise and saw a car flipped half over on the east side wall before the Houston Street exit.”

I know he had way too many liberal policies for those on tbis board to have voted for him, and I understand.
But Man, was he tough. Crushed the Mafia.
Crushed the Crips and Bloods. Latin Kings.
Crime crashed down. Squeegy men arrested. Loiterers arrested,. Fare humpers arrested.
Cops able to do their job without fear of liberal NY leaders.
Cleaned up Times Square completely.
Prostitution went indoors.
Kicked Arafat out of two functinos.
NEVER EVER met with Sharpton or Jackson.
Told a class of black kids who asked him how they would pay for college to get a job, or two.
He would have been a thousand times better than obummer and could have won. Oh well.
One of the few Italian leaders in NYC I get to be proud of.
I spit on Cuomo and deblahblahblah.

A lot of NYers (native ones that is) may be loud mouthed brashers but they got the guts to match most of the time.
I love Rudy Ok he’s a New York republican all wrong on abortion and he might have even a bad pres for just that but I love him
I like Rudy and think he did a fine job (from what I have read). Especially during 911. The right man at the right time.
Disclaimer: I do not live nor have I ever been to NY...although I would like to go on New Years Eve if I could get a posh hotel room to watch the festivities. Fat chance, berdie!!

I’ve been to NYC a few times and was underwhelmed. These days it’s a commie liberal paradise. No way would I travel there now.

I found the people nicer and the city nastier than expected. Not a place I would want to live, but I could. I suppose there is a niche for just about everyone there.

Well...I might lay politics aside for the short time I would be there. I would just want to see the sights.Go to a Broadway show or two or ten. Truthfully, I would like to go to D.C. to see everything there as well. And just ignore our ignorant politicians for a moment.

Rudy would NOT have:
colored the white house in rainbow, traded five terrorists for a traitor, took all the troops out of Iraq.
He would have armed anyone fighting the Muslim Brotherhood or Al Qaeda,
With the weapons he would have given the Kurds, they would be mostly gone by now.
Russia and China would have known not to @#$ around with him.
He wasn’t a RINO. He was a very patriotic American who
would have saved us from this nightmare.

Agree with what you are saying about Rudy. While socially liberal, he is patriotic and pro-American.
As for “Wilhelm DeBlasio” - as someone who is partially of German ancestry, we don’t want to claim him either! Would rather point to someone of German background who has done more for the city than most of the politicians - Donald Trump!

but he didn’t win with Italians. He won with Blacks, Hispanics, gays, Jews and Asians. Although I’m sure enough other white idiots voted for him.
The last two groups i dont get. The Jewish an Asians.
They are very successful, commit almost zero crime and yet want the streets to be unsafe and pay more taxes. confuses the heck out of me.
Many years ago, and my Uncle still refers to it and you can find it on web, the upper east side used to be called GermanTown. I guess because it was mostly German. Interesting tidbit.
I know Abortion is the issue. Well, really, birth control is with its consequences, and Rudy would not have been there, he’d only have driven us further into the hands of libs which is what RINOs do, and which is what makes them so bad their lukewarmness
But Rudy’s a great New Yorker, and, as a New Yorker, I love him
