GOP Benghazi Committee chairman Trey Gowdy blasted fellow Republican Rep. Richard Hanna on Thursday for claiming his investigation was aimed at hurting 2016 Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton.
“Running investigations in a private, fact-centric way is unquestionably the right way to conduct a serious investigation,” Gowdy said in the statement, arguing that Hanna knew nothing of what his panel was working on. “The pitfall, of course, is that commentators, and sometimes even members of your own Conference, offer thoughts on matters on which they are not familiar.”

Why is it taking so long for indictments? Wish they would move on with it, but I don’t know what they know. I’m sure Gowdy wants to make double damn sure that he has hard evidence against her first. I hope he knows the answers to all the questions he will be asking her so he can catch her in her lies.
There are either some real idiots or traitors in our own party.
The Gowdy committee is tasked with writing a report to the rest of Congress. It is not a prosecution, and Democrats on the committee make sure Hillary knows everything they’re interested in ahead of time.
Poor Trey Gowdy just can’t win.
A lot of us here are flogging him as a lazy, foot-dragging GOP-e slug while the Democrats and GOP (east coast Establishment branch) are calling him an obsessed, Hillary-hating Ken Starr reincarnation, playing that card again.
Can’t really blame him for planning on hanging it up at the end of his term.

They JUST got Chris Stevens’ emails within the last week - think those might be relevant to the committee’s work? They are being stonewalled, delayed and obstructed by State, DOJ, Dept of Defense at every turn. Gowdy is handling this as a prosecutor, not a politician (which is what most people are used to) so it’s very frustrating because he’s holding his cards close to the vest. His “staff” are former federal prosecutors & a 3-star general ... all tough & competent. If I were Huma or Hilly and had to testify (not publicly where they, especially Hilly, can ‘grandstand’ before the cameras as will the Dems like the horrible Elijah Cummings), I wouldn’t sleep a wink the night before (maybe the week before) and I’d need to wear Depends.

This Hanna was not part of the committee and Gowdy said that plain and clear....Gowdy also wrote a 13 page letter to Cummings who was talking to reporters about what was going on, which he had no business doing, but Cummings is a rotten person to the bone...
I don’t think there were many in the House and Senate that didn’t know what was going on in Benghazi and who was involved....

All of us here want Hitlery run out of public life, and ASAP, but I suppose we’re just going to have to trust that Gowdy & Co. and doing all they can to get at the truth.
