Dr. Benjamin S. Carson, renowned chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, underwent a two-hour operation at Hopkins yesterday for prostate cancer and should be ready to go home by Saturday, his surgeon said.
Although tests indicating whether the cancer had spread will take a few days to complete, Dr. Patrick Walsh said, the disease appeared confined to the prostate gland. If lab studies confirm that, he said, the possibility for a cure will be high.
"Everything looked good," said Walsh, Hopkins' chief of urology. "I've said I think this is a curable cancer, and everything today looked compatible with that."

I too have been guilty of that on occasions. Which is why I started looking more closely at the post before responding. Don’t care about others, but I myself try to keep from looking foolish to a minimum. I usually get caught in a joke post and fail to see the keywords such as humor. Then I feel really stupid. LOL
Is a side-effect of removing the prostate becoming extremely mild-mannered and soft-spoken?
No worries. We amateurs are not noticed among the professional screw ups that are now the loudest voices at Free Republic.
Yes, you will see someone already pointed that out, and I pointed it out to another commenter.
How odd of the poster to put this up with no warning. It is usual to expect a post is recent unless it is noted otherwise.

Actually I am partially to blame as I really didn’t provide background for the post. I’m thick skinned enough to not let it get me upset. Life is too short for that, and besides for the most part I enjoy the people on this site. Hopefully we all share the same desire to turn this country around, though I sometimes wonder if that is even a reality anymore. I’m keep praying that it is reality, but I have my serious doubts.
Carson is being criticized by an organization headed by a doctor who has ... served time in prison? For fraud?

This place is infested with idiots these days. Ignore them, they matter not. Party on, dude.
Interesting, thanks for that information.
Got it. Thanks
LOL, actually I have been recuperating for decades now from all the parting in my youth. But if it is a warm night here in Louisiana, I just may put the top down on my vette and go for a cruise. Nothing more soothing a night ride on a warm night with the top down.
Thanks for posting this. This does refute the impression that supplements cured his prostate cancer. I would imagine the surgery deserves the credit for that.
And, if there is some place along the way with mud bugs on offer with plenty of newspapers and some good boudin then pull over and Lassez les beau temps roulez, mon friere.
My wife is the native, I'm just a damn Yankee transplant from that Yankee bastion known as Va. Down here anything north of Louisiana is a damn Yankee. At least according to my father-in-law, a WWII & Korean vet with more pep at 90 than me. Also I prefer their larger cousin, lobster, and I am a novice at the correct way of eatinf the mud bug, AKA crawfish since I won't even try sucking the head out of one. Boudin I tried once but wasn't really that crazy about it either.
Je vais laisser le bon temps rouler quand les bons moments de retour , mon ami.
BTW, seems much warmer tonight than last night, just might have to hit that road, and hard!!!!
I just live in Kansas, I’m from Arkansas. But I knew Boudreaux and Thibadeaux, dey showed all dat stuff I need to knowed. Plus, my wife is from Louisiana.
Ah, okay. So you took your wife away, and mine brought me here. LOL
