Donald Trump said President Obama usually gets what he wants because so many Republicans in Congress are on his side.
"Here's the problem," the presidential contender said on CBS on Sunday. "You cannot win when you have a group of 25 or 30 percent on this side, and you have a group of 70 percent on this side," he said, referencing congressional Republicans.
"It's so sad. Because if they were really going to fight, and if they took that 30 percent stance, assuming they wanted to really make changes and do it right, and cut the budget, cut the deficit, and do things that they should be doing, if they took that group and if everybody was unified, Obama would fold," Trump added. "But there's no reason for him to ever fold, because he knows that a big proportion, a vast majority of the Republicans are on his side."
Speaking on Syria, Trump said the Arab states should contribute to creating a safe zone for refugees and questioned why they weren't doing more to defend themselves.
"The countries should all get together, including the Gulf States who have nothing but money. They should all get together, and they should take a big swath of land in Syria, and they should do a safe zone for people, so they can have a safe place where they could live," Trump said.

That is why we must carefully think about how a Republican president would deal with the worst case scenario of a Democrat legislature.

Historically, shutdowns don't last long.
But, if a shutdown does go on it will have an effect.
Plus, if the shutdown flows from the Hastert Rule, it will have more of an effect. The budget showdown in Sept was avoided because Boehner ignored the Hastert Rule and passed a 2 month extension.
We don't know who will be speaker in Dec, but if he honors the Hastert Rule, which is what the Freedom Caucus wants, it will probably go on and on and on.
Go Donald! Tell dumbed down Americans the truth that they’re too stupid to figure out.

I actually think that the majority of these “refugees” are not Syrian at all, but Middle Eastern, South Asian and Sub-Saharan people glomming-on to the Syrian refugees in order to get to the promised land of the Euro cradle-to-grave honeypot. And—also for other nefarious reasons.
Some of those Euro leaders are worried that because of declining demographics from their countrymen, and that having all the new “taxpayers” is good for their future.
Question—has anyone attempted to ascertain the following:
What percentage of these people are:
A. Truly refugees fleeing a brutal civil war amongst various Islamic factions and radical Arab governments?
B. Economic refugees wanting a better economic life?
C. Islamic invaders hoping to change Europe to Islam? And thus bringing the brutal civil war to Europe...
Well, yeah, they are. Their own actions demonstrate it. They can’t wait to fund obamacare over and over again. They can’t wait to fund planned parenthood over and over again. They attack anyone that opposes or criticizes Obama before the Democrats do. Yes, a case could be made that they are. It does not stop their cadre on this forum from voting for them though. Nor slandering and libeling those that tell the truth about them or refuse to vote for them.

there are and have been large numbers of syrian refugees at camps in jordan and Turkey. existence there is bad. the thought of spending another winter in the tents is a strong motivator to seek refuge elsewhere
