Hillary Rodham Clinton’s upcoming appearance before the U.S. House Select Committee on Benghazi was supposed to be a crucible: a chance for Republicans to prosecute the former secretary of state for her handling of the 2012 terrorist attacks that killed four Americans as well as for her use of a private e-mail server. Instead, it may have turned into a political gift for Clinton following this week’s suggestion by the likely next House speaker, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), that the taxpayer-funded Benghazi investigation was politically motivated. Clinton’s allies say his comments will help recast Clinton’s scheduled Oct. 22 hearing as a partisan inquisition rather than a fact-finding mission about the attacks in Libya. McCarthy boasted in two television interviews on Tuesday that the committee’s work already had achieved a desired result: Clinton’s decline in the polls. The statements riled Democrats by seeming to validate their suspicions about the probe, which led to the discovery of Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server — a controversy that has dogged her for seven months.

Hillary is a big fat guilty pinata, chock full of top secret emails, chock full of criminal bribes, chock full of conflicts of interest, chock full of broken espionage laws, and the limp McCarthy can barely swing a wet noodle.
He doesn't know what he is doing. He doesn't know how to fight. He cannot even make a case against Hillary, who is the most guilty person walking the Earth. She lied to the parents of the Benghazi heroes, lied to their faces over their coffins. Just keep saying that McCarthy, you idiot. Over and over again. She lied to save her own political hide, to weeping mothers of American heroes!
McCarthy is not up for the job.

McCarthy is a squish who occupies the mushy center between left and right. Meaning he has no principles other than his own self interest. Aggravating that bad quality, he is also not very bright, as this incident clearly shows. In other words, he has all the qualities the establishment Republicans, lobbyists, and Chamber of Corruption are looking for in a Speaker.
The Repubs are amazingly creative in their ability to butcher their own electoral chances. McCarthy is obviously the wrong guy for the Speaker job.

Some may think Kevin McCarthy a fool or dumb or worse for this statement. McCarthy is neither a fool or dumb. I suspect that, this statement is a way of telling his supporters and more important, the Democrats that the Benghazi investigation is over if he is elected Speaker.
Hell, after that little statement, it is over anyhow.
But he will have the votes. So, At this point in time, what difference does it make?

Where on earth do the Republicans get these ‘shoot yourself and the party’ nit wits from? I had never heard of McCarthy before two or three years ago. I do not believe he has a single accomplishment to his name, yet he now wants to be, of all things “Speaker for the American people,” when he can’t speak clearly or put two sentences together without committing a major verbal gaffe. His gratuitous statement on Benghazi and Hillary was not only extremely damaging to the party, it was completely made up McCarthy BS. He was trying to be a big shot when talking to Hannity, making up stories, flapping his jaw, and and his big trap backfired on him. I hope, it has destroyed his speakership chances. There are other great articulate members like Jeb Hensarling from Texas who would terrific.

McCarthy just trashed the credibility of the Benghazi investigation and handed the Dems a tool to kill it. If he's made the Speaker it will also color the credibility of every committee he approves that happens to be investigating a Dem.
Politically motivated? So frickin what? Watergate was politically motivated and that didn’t stop Hitlery from trying to destroy the constitution to get Nixon. Sure, he was guilty, but so is she.
McCarthy is the ENEMY.
