Jeb Bush was ready to counterpunch at Wednesday night’s debate when asked about Donald Trump’s statement that politicians could be bought. "The one guy that had some special interests that I know of that tried to get me to change my views on something—that was generous and gave me money—was Donald Trump," Bush said. "He wanted casino gambling in Florida."
That’s when Trump cut him off—and failed to tell the truth. “I didn't,” Trump said.

It’s just that he says what no one else besides Cruz is willing to say, but for some reason, Cruz isn’t sticking. Breaks my heart.
My vote in the primaries is for Cruz, but if Trump wins the nomination, I’ll pull the lever for him, and hope he means what he’s been saying.
When he calls Wiener a sleaze and Huma a crook, and says we make bad deals all over the place, you get excited to hear it said. No one else says they will deport ALL illegals.

The article goes on that Trump gave to money to the RNC in Florida.
So Trump didn't give money to Bush directly but to the party in 1998.
And it's likely true if Trump still wanted to get a casino in Florida after 17 years, he would likely have gotten one after Bush left the governorship.
This looks to be a "misunderstanding" what Trump was speaking about.
