With Speaker John Boehners (R-Ohio) job in doubt, House conservatives have been holding internal talks about a new leadership coalition that could includvie Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) as Speaker and more conservative members occupying lower rungs on the leadership ladder.
The informal discussions among members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus are preliminary and informal, multiple GOP lawmakers tell The Hill.

Oh please.
Try again.
Good, string McCarthy along just long enough to depose Boehner...then drop him too!
How would he be any different than Boehner, other than maybe he wouldn’t cry and turn orange.
What is the diff?
Nuttin’ honey.
“and more conservative members occupying lower rungs “
Yeah, that’s how it’s should have been done to fairly represent the makeup of the caucus.
McCarthy is very high on the list of those to be Cantorized....
Wow, these guys think they are soooo slick.
McCarthy destroyed the Calif GOP when he secretly met and signed off on the Dems rigged new Districts which saved his seat but wiped out the State GOP seats that gave the Dems a filibuster proof majority in both the state house and senate .
He killed he Ca GOP to save his skin.
Several groups placed McCarthy's voting record well to the left of Cantor's for 2013. The American Conservative Union rated McCarthy at 72 percent compared with 84 percent for Cantor; Heritage Action ratings place Cantor at 53 percent and McCarthy at 42 percent; and Club for Growth had Cantor at 68 percent and McCarthy at 53 percent. Moving away from conservative groups, the National Journal rated Cantor the 80th most conservative member of the House while McCarthy was 170th.
“I am unfamiliar with the man. However, after reading this I am not for him:”
The fact he is a Republican from California is enough to disqualify him in my book.
Louie Gohmert, please!
Yeah, but I wanted to know more about him. His only positive is his purported pro-life stance.
Huh??? Not this conservative. My rep, Louie Gohmert, would actually stand up for conservative principles.
I nominate my congressman - Scott Garrett (NJ)
That would work. Would Pelosi support it? or would she (all her democrat slaves) vote for Boehner?
Can we believe McCarthy?
