Sunday on Fox News Channels Media Buzz, Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson said the Republican Party has in the past neglected African-American community but because of the recent chaos in race relation brought on by unrest in Ferguson, Baltimore and other cities the GOP has a very excellent opportunity, to reach out and help get business and industry and academia to invest in people.

Oh he’s awake. It’s his supporters that need to adjust their alarm clock volume.
I’m not sure if the GOP can be accused of ‘neglect’. Republicans have made many overtures to the black community over the last few years. However, most times, their gesture of sincerity is greeted with boos, sullen silence, or debate that quickly becomes hectoring. I know Mitt tried it a few times. The black community needs to present itself as a more welcoming, open minded host.
Carson is a one trick pony. Maybe he doesn’t know what to do now that he’s retired, but politics is the wrong game for him. Surely he is a good man and means well but the required skill set for president is beyond what he’s got.
Looking that way.
Shades of Herman Cain’s tax plan with “Empowerment Zones” in Inner Cities?
The implants are barely noticeable...
He’s maybe an “okay” doctor.
Here is the perfect GOPe ticket:
Carson-Bush (or Bush-Carson)
“One of us will put you to sleep, and when we lose, the other one will keep you asleep, so you won’t care.”
Carson does not have the judgment to be President. His position on immigration, that deportation is immoral, show that he is no better than Jeb Bush.
Add to that his ridiculous assertions on the Michael Brown issue in Ferguson and he really is a loser.
Keep talking, Ben. Your total incompetence needs to be exposed.
What about the American-American community?
They are the ones pulling the wagon.
Empowerment zones were a bad idea when Jack Kemp pushed them. Just another form of affirmative action, which helps neither the beneficiaries nor the losers who in turn also have to compete on an uneven playing field.
It’s not “brought on by Ferguson.” FFS, it’s brought on by the African-in-Chief and Eric Holder.
That's doubtful. Consider his recent statements -- they are not gaffes but revealing his true color.
Off the bandwagon, you liberal white guilt ridden Freepers
Actually, its the black community who havent taken care of their neighborhoods.
Wow-he really is Colin Powell. There was something always “off putting” when he spoke-now I know my instincts were correct.
Hey doc, your opponent, Mr Trump plans to do plenty for the black community. He will kick out all of the illegals and then jobs will be open for any non felon who wants one. If you are talking about providing kindling for the next riot....um no we are done with that kind of “investment”.
Well, I was wondering just how long this game would go until that card came out. September 13. One year and two months before the election. Lot quicker than I thought.
Its like the GOP thought “well our people have had enough of lawyers, lets try a doctor!”. As if doctors and lawyers are the only people that are good enough to be president. As though a businessman’s skill set was less useful in the job of president than a doctors skill set.
Yeah, it’s funny how a number of once safe, clean and family friendly towns populated by Italians and Irish are now ghettos on the North Shore of Staten Island.
Do I have to tell you why?
