Trump praised Germany’s decision to take in Syrian refugees and proposed creating a “safe zone some place in Syria” in order to stop the flow of migrants travelling to Europe.
He criticised Germany and other European countries for not doing enough to support Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, however.
“We will make statements and I think those statements will be honoured,” he said of a putative Trump policy towards Ukraine. “The fact is that the Ukraine is an amazing place. These are people who know what’s right and they’re not being treated right.”

The concept of creating a “safe zone” in Syria is exactly the right proscription here. OK, we don’t want to conquer the whole country, but surely we can grab a piece of it and hold it for refugees. When the fighting eventually ends, they can rebuild their own country. I support it.
A beautiful report in the UK Guardian, showing Trump being confused, the audience laughing at his responses, and in general, showing him to be an idiot.

I think if the worst thing is the use of the word “the”, then Trump did well. Interesting that there is no word for “the” or “a” in the Russian language I imagine Ukranian is similar. This is a tricky problem in translation.
Really? That's been the way it's always been referred to in English. I'm tired of everyone telling us what the English word for their country country should be. We don't say "Italia" or "Deutscheland" either and I don't see Italians or Germans getting bent out of shape about it.

By the way, Hillary Clinton was a Republican and she became a Democrat. Trump did the same thing, so he could be compared to her just as much. Trump has switched parties many times. And he will again.
I don't hate Trump - I hate what he's doing. And I don't like how the media is covering up his past. We had an unvetted candidate in 2008, we don't need that again. Once Trump goes back to hid reality shows, I will ignore him.
You are saying no one can change which is not within your scope of knowledge. Maybe he is all the things you think but you are rabid. Just maybe he sees us all losing America and does not want that. Regardless he is separating conservatives and GOPe elitists. In my many years I have grown and changed many once held beliefs and believe anyone can also. Fear of losing the Nation I love and the last dark 7 years, makes me happy to hear someone talk of making America great again.
