who referred repeatedly to “the Ukraine”, apparently oblivious to the fact the use of the definite article when referring to the country is considered insulting by Ukrainians. Really? That's been the way it's always been referred to in English. I'm tired of everyone telling us what the English word for their country country should be. We don't say "Italia" or "Deutscheland" either and I don't see Italians or Germans getting bent out of shape about it.
