Here in Ohio,I’d have given him the beat down of a lifetime.
If the guy he took down had actually been the thief and not a respected former tennid player, this would not be a big deal.
Still, it seems like he did not need to take him down so roughly without even giving him a chance to surrender quietly.
I think the cop needs a suspension and some retraining and should be on a short leash after that.
Blake has handled the situation witb class, making his valid complaint with being inflammatory.
Please, cops are doing this sh1t to everyone.

Blake is a professional athlete, the officer should be glad he was afforded restraint from Blake.
Because most of the criminally active cohort in this country either runs, fights or shoots when they hear the words “Sir, may I please speak with you?” from a police officer.

The NYPD is just a collection of union thugs operating under color of authority and they have a “union mouthpiece” at the ready with a cock and bull story to gloss over any felonious behavior. Everyone keeps talking about the 99% of the cops who are "good guys." Good guys don't behave this way, and they don't need have a union mouthpiece try and get them out of the trouble they're in. As far as the 99% is concerned, I don't know what the real number is, but it's way lower than 99%. And if the cops don't ALL observe ALL the laws and the Constitutional protections, they are going to be cannon fodder at the end of the day because it isn't just the Black's who hate them.

I’ll press the point and say it shouldn’t happen in any neighborhood. I am a supporter of police and the rule of law. But we can’t have them slamming people down to the ground if they feel like it. A police state is a bad thing.
Presumption of innocence is a priceless concept in our nation, I don’t think we’d better go down that road.
