Bobby Jindal Calls Trump An Unstable Narcissist

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is hoping that a blistering takedown of Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump will help lift his struggling campaign out from the bottom of the crowded 2016 field.

Jindal called Trump "unstable," "a narcissist," "unserious," and "a carnival act" during remarks at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Thursday.

"I want to say what everyone is thinking about Donald Trump but is afraid to say," Jindal said before ripping into Trump.

"He is shallow, there is no substance. He doesn't know anything about policy, he has no idea what he is talking about. He makes it up on the fly," Jindal said.

Along with the speech, Jindal's campaign released two web videos mocking Trump. One is a mashup of all the things Trump has said he loves throughout the campaign, ending with an "Anchorman" clip of absentminded weatherman Brick Tamland saying "I love lamp." The other compares Trump's promises of winning to actor Charlie Sheen during the notoriously outrageous interviews the actor did in 2011.

What Jindal did was try to co-opt Trumps mantra. It was very obvious. He condemned with faint praise and then tried to say Trump was right as long as I am doing it. It was disingenuous.

I did not like that. It will not work from a candidate who will go nowhere.

Has he ever said that about Obama?

If you google "Jindal calls Obama" you can find what Bobby's said about Barack over the years. They aren't pals.

True, he never called Obama an unstable narcissist, but maybe that just wasn't at the top of his list.

One reason why primary fights can be more vicious than general election campaigns is that candidates aren't working off a familiar script. You know what Democrats are going to say about Republicans and vice versa, but when it's inside the party, they tend to wing it, and things can get really personal.

” citing the (we thought)thoroughly discredited “Rolling Stone” magazine.”

You mean the quote Trump said was accurate? That one?

I think that Jindal has seriously misdirected his comment to the wrong person!

Jindal should have called Obama "unstable," "a narcissist," "unserious," and "a carnival act" during his remarks at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Thursday.

Yeah, that one. It is true that Fiorina bears a resemblance to Cruella DeVille. Many leftist liberals have said so. But they can say mean things about women all day long with impunity. Just ask Sarah Palin. Leftists can say awful things about minorities too and get away with it.

It’s only Republicans and conservatives who must watch what they say. The “Macacca Moment” is what the left and the GOPe are wishing for Trump every moment of every day.

Trump, and the American people, need to tell them both to stick it where the sun don’t shine.

Trump and Obama share the same character traits. The difference is largely this. Conservatives believe in conservative values, not a cult of personality. We don’t believe there is a political messiah we should worship. We believe in keeping faith with our word, not marrying three women. We believe in the rule of law, not getting tax payers to bail out our investment ventures by bankruptcy. We believe in common decency, not calling women names, like school boys. We believe in God, not calling someone like Dr. Carson a person who is devout no good, according to Trump, because of religiosity. We believe in property rights, not imminent domain used to dislodge an old lady from her house so he can build a parking garage by his casino for limousines. We have believed in conservative values because they’re great for America, not because we’re out to scam conservatives into electing a never elected dolt to the presidency.

Various leftist COMMENTATORS were vicious toward Palin. I don’t recall Obama ever attacking her family (and lets face it, who could attack her looks?)

I agree the media is unfair. So what? That will not change. Trump’s problem is that he shoots off at the mouth without thinking. That isn’t exactly a good way for a President to be.

If Trump is the best we can hold up for conservatism, we’re in trouble. And yes, I think Hillary is evidence that the Democrats are in trouble. Trump’s greatest strength right now is that he is not a politician...and I can understand the attraction of it. I’ll vote for him if he wins the primaries, too. But I think we can find better if we look.

“Of course that’s what he is. All his supporters know it too. That’s not going to matter.”

Exactly right, but once he gets the reigns of power he will do it all for the country, which then becomes an extension of himself. His ego will demand that he succeed.

I don’t know it the argument works so well because all those politicians are unstable narcissists. Unstable because it only takes money to get them to flip-flop.

Trump’s got an Ego. Nobody denies that, but that’s not the same thing as being a narcissist. A narcissist has no room for love of anybody but himself. Trump is self-centered at times, but he has compassion for others, very much so in fact. If you want to see a true narcissist, look no further than the White House.

As far as unstable, give me a break. The man has run a successful Billion dollar business for years. You don’t get to where he is in life by being unstable. Unpredictable at times? Sure. But unstable? Come on. Get real.

Jindal’s adopting the Rick Perry/Lindsey Graham strategy to win more support. Look how well it worked for those two caboose passengers.

Thought Jindal had more sense.

You’re lost!

Trump is a childish bloviator that could accomplish nothing. Trying to justify his massive shortcomings by attacking past office holders is about as feckless as it comes. Its fortunate that its impossible for him to get elected, but his game has made fools of the sub-90 IQs here.

Cruz is the best hope we’ve had since Reagan’s first term. He is fully centered on our real problem, and knows that until it is fixed nothing else will be productive. As long as the courts can undo all the good that anybody does, we’re just spinning our wheels.

Let’s deal with reality:

Trump is a spoiled brat that suffers from arrested development syndrome. He offers nothing of substance, but tickles the ears of those like him in that respect.

Well, stand by to be disappointed in your self-aggrandizing, pontifications. Stay home and vote for Romney or Hoover or Perot. Cruz will not be the front runner and he knows it. At least he has a brain.

But, you’ll thank us when this is over.
