A man reportedly identified as an aide to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was shot in the head and critically injured after gunfire erupted in the pre-dawn hours on Monday before the West Indian Day parade in Brooklyn, police said.
The 43-year-old man was the "unintended target" of the shooting, which took place at 3:41 a.m. at 1680 Bedford Avenue, said a spokeswoman for the New York Police Department.

Chode, while I'm with ya 99.99% of the time, the guy was out for an annual event that was going to start at 4 AM, at least that is what they said in an earlier article.
Okay some random thoughts on this: If he was the “unintended” target what was he doing there at 3:41 AM? Of course he had some connection to the INTENDED target. Given the number of scumbags shooting at cops I’m sure the cops working the West Indian Day Parade are as anxious and wary as we were when I worked that parade 35 years ago. It got safer and actually fun during Rudy’s days but of course those days are now over.
