Palin Defends Trump: We Need a ‘Tough’ POTUS, Not a Master of Trivial Pursuit

palin

Sarah Palin appeared on CNN this morning and defended Donald Trump after his less-than-stellar interview with Hugh Hewitt.

Trump’s foreign policy-focused interview was pretty widely panned for The Donald’s loose grasp on the issues. On State of the Union this morning, Tapper asked Palin if she thought Trump got “gotcha” questions.

Palin said, “I’d rather have a president who is tough and puts America first than can win a game of Trivial Pursuit.”

She added that the public doesn’t “give a flying flip” which specific leaders are overseeing specific regions anyway. Palin suggested a good metric to judge candidates by might be whether they know the price of a barrel of oil.

She also dismissed the idea that the Republican Party has a problem with minorities, telling Tapper the GOP is a “party of tolerance.”

Circumstance has an odd way of propelling the unexpected. Who would have either expected Trump’s rise, or his current stall, before that all began.

Oh, puhlease. If a Democrat or a “RINO” had failed the question, the “Let’s lower the standards for Trump” folks would have been gloating.

I doubt your psychic abilities to determine the reactions of folks for things that have never happened, nor anything similar. Only an infantile would be concerned about this.

I see way too much talk of depending on people in and of themselves.

Trump has problems, and a current problem (his tone deaf response to the Kim Davis situation) bids very fair to halt his meteoric rise.

However think of Kim Davis herself. She’s a lifelong Democrat. What made the difference in her wasn’t worldly politics. What made the difference was the gospel that she yielded to, after many years of God’s patience with her. And look where she is now, encouraging the boldness of many more, even the “faithful,” who might have tried to weasel out rather than taking the bull by the horns.

This is a season of forces larger than ourselves, and instead of looking down our noses sneering we should be looking up at heaven thanking and praying.

I have no psychic abilities. I’m going on past observations.

Well, can you provide these past examples? I can easily provide examples where the elitists bashed people like Ronald Reagan for not knowing the names of various heads of state.

“Oh, now you are calling Trump Ronald Reagan” — and the question begging will continue in earnest. If “Past Observations” are of any value (hint hint hint to the gander)

This is not a normal time. People are getting tired of Marquis of Queensbury rules. People are calling upon the Lord even in ways that have not been this intense for proverbial eons. Evil has a way of pushing people into such prayer corners and when God hears, they often come back out swinging.

Did SP get a permanent job offer from OAN, after her debut there?

Not yet. The CEO stated they would be unable to pay her what she’s worth.

I wasnt a fan of Trump but I think he is the only one that can handle McConnell/Bonehead/RATS.
Carson will be ruined within a month should he win.

I think it’s obvious you’d be more comfortable with Bush III. You should send him some money.

Sounds like you should be sending Jethro Busch some money stat.

Is that what passes for a snappy comeback on FR these days? How unimaginative. Perhaps 2 or 3 minutes of research could help you save face.

Doesn’t matter. Your choice is Trump or whoever the GOP establishment decides. There is no third door. The GOP establishments always gets their way. Trump is the first time we’ve ever had a chance of denying them.

Just reading between the lines it appears that you're saying you won't vote for anyone but Trump? If any of the others, no matter who that might be, become the candidate, you'll skip voting for the top of the ticket. Do I have that right?
